It may be silly, but for the next little while I’m going to name my flower posts after fairy tales and children’s rhymes and stories. First up these all white flowers I’ll call Snow White.

Flower of the Day – Baby’s Breath

Baby’s Breath flowers, whose scientific name is Gypsophila, are a member of the carnation flower family. They are used in many floral arrangements.

This photo shows a large bunch of the white flowers. They are very tiny, so look good in a large amount.

I wondered why they are called Baby’s Breath. It seems it is because they have a very delicate color, mostly white, but sometimes pink or yellow, and also it represents the innocence of babies.
