Time again for questions from Melanie for Share Your World. Thanks so much for hosting this fun weekly challenge, Melanie!

Why is it called “beauty sleep” when one wakes up looking like a troll??

Why do they sterilize needles for lethal injections?

Why do most cars have speedometers that go up to at least 130 when you legally can’t go that fast on any road?

Did they purposely make dyslexia hard to spell?

(Rather naughty):  If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?

What are some things that are okay to do occasionally but definitely not okay to do every day?

Go to an amusement park?

What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever worn?

Maybe a Halloween costume? But, I wasn’t embarrassed to wear any of them, because it was fun.

Oh…here’s one from when I was a kid in elementary school. I had a dress I couldn’t stand, but my mom made me wear it anyway, even if it did embarrass me. It had these things on the shoulders that I though made me look like a hefty football player.

Another dress I had that I didn’t like had a blue tie in the front…I thought it made people think I was a boy wearing a tie. Ugh! So…I ripped it so bad that I didn’t have to wear it again.

In your opinion, what’s the best type of cheese?

Queso! This is a melted cheese dip you eat with crispy tortilla chips.

What are some fun ways to answer everyday questions like “how’s it going” or “what do you do”?

“It’s going” … “Fair to middling” … “Fine as frog hair” …

Have you ever sent a text message to the wrong person?   Details please.

Yes. The only people I ever text to is my two daughters. On the phone I sometimes pull up the other one than the one the text is for. Example, just the other day I sent a fun joke to one, but the other one got the text. They both liked it, though. 🙂

I’ve also gotten texts from people I don’t know! I got invited to a party in another state one time. It had the time and address on the text. I did text them back, saying sorry, I can’t make the party, as you texted the wrong person! haha 🙂

If you could make a rule for a day, and everyone had to follow it, what would it be?

I’d make everyone sing their words all day, like in a musical.

You are about to get in a fight, what song comes on your mind soundtrack?

I’d never get into a fight, but how about “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor.

Since the Tiger is my Spirit Animal, I like the title and the lyrics of this song, and I’m sure my Tiger would help me in any fight.

“Eye of the Tiger”, by Survivor, was released from their albums, “Eye of the Tiger”, and “Rocky III”, in 1982. It was written by Jrankie Sullivan and Jim Peterik.

Share a joke, if you know a good one!

Knock Knock

Who’s there?

Rice who?

Rice and shine, sleepy head! 🙂

Say this out loud:

I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit, and on the slitted sheet I sit. 🙂

RDP # 72 – Cat

RDP #72 – Cat

I’ve been meaning to do these Ragtag Daily Prompts, so for my first one today, the word is ‘cat’, and well, I love cats of all kinds.

This is a picture I painted a long time ago.

I’ve always known the tiger is my spirit animal.

This is a poem I wrote about it years ago.

In misty dreams you came to me

When I was only two or three

A forest dark, and deep, and green

I wondered what my dreams could mean

You were my friend, my Spirit kin

A guardian without, a guardian within

I was born into your year

Tiger Spirit always near

Magnificent eyes, shining bright

I weep at what now’s your plight

Endangered in this cruel world

Victim of the weapons hurled

If only we could be at peace

Return to dreams without surcease

To that mystery forest in the night

We could try to again make it right

I know that you will always be

In my dreams

A part of me

Hi, again! Today is the 5th day of writing poems for the Daily Post, Writing 201: Poetry course. Suggested to try, was the Concrete Poem, the enjambment, and an animal …

Well, I couldn’t figure out how to do the Concrete shape (a poem written so that it forms a shape of something), so just went with the poem form of enjambment, which means to continue a sentence or thought onto the next line, and the animal part was easy.

However, here is a picture of a Tiger, that I painted a  long time ago! 🙂

In misty dreams you

Came to me

When I was only two or three.

A forest dark, and deep, and

Green, I wondered what my dreams

Could mean. You were my friend, my

Spirit kin…a guardian without, within…

I was born into your year, your Tiger Spirit

Always near. Magnificent eyes, shining bright, I

Weep at what now is your plight; endangered in this

Cruel world…victim of the weapons hurled. If only we could

Be at peace…return to dreams without surcease, to that mystery

Forest, in the night, we could try to make it right. I know that you will

Always be, in my dreams…a part of me … Tiger…my Spirit Animal …<3
