These little frogs sitting on a pink lily pad are a set of salt & pepper shakers I have. (don’t know why the photo is kind of blurry when I made it larger)
This pair of brass frogs I have sitting on the bathroom sink. They are kind of creepy looking, and I wrote this poem back in 2015.

GUARDIANS
We are old
We are wise
We have been here from the beginning of days
We will be here at the end of days
We are all knowing
We are all seeing
We hold the knowledge of the universe in our souls
We are your guardians…
We are your friend
We are your enemy
We are your nightmare
We are your wildest dream come true…
We will consume you
We will spit you out
We are your everything
We are your nothingness…
We own you
We spend you
We love you
We despise you…
We will reward you with riches untold
We will destroy all you hold dear
We will shower you with refreshing rain
We will scorch you
We don’t care…
We know you
We adore you
We hate you
We will live on within you
We course through your veins
We commandeer your brain…
We give your life purpose
We shatter your ego
We exalt your spirit
We plunge you into despair…
We laugh at your hopes
We scorn your paltry efforts
We shine the light of love upon you
We call forth the abyss of darkness to envelop you
We cause you to break apart
We cause you to fracture into a million shards of humanity…

Figurines
These are some of the figurines I have. There is a little guy playing an accordion, an old fashioned lady with fancy dress, and an old fashioned troubadour with musical instruments.
I used to collect all kinds, and most are all packed away right now out in our backyard shed. I want to get them out again someday.
I think these came from yard sales around the neighborhood fairly recently, well within the last 5 or 10 years.
When I was a kid, I’d go to the dime store, and first thing I did was get a new figurine. Most of these were animal ones, and I still do have some of them.
Then I got into collecting salt & pepper shakers, which are like novelty figurines, too. I have these in the house in a glass fronted china cabinet.
These two are my recent ones, of two tiger salt & pepper shakers. I got them at an antique store.

I found these neat looking tigers salt & pepper shakers when we went to an antique store last week. Of course I couldn’t leave them there, so bought them to add to my S & P collection.
Photos show different views of them – orange tigers with black stripes. One is standing up, the other laying down.
They don’t have any identifying marks on the underside. I don’t know how old they are, but being in an antique shop, maybe kind of old.
Here are some cute kitties I saw at a couple of yard sales last weekend.
First are two little smiling, orange and brown tiger striped kitties. They are salt & pepper shakers!
The next one is from Halloween, I think. A medium large black cat made with felt. It has orange eyes, and a collar with an orange half moon. This looked to be a bucket of some sort, maybe for holding candy? 🙂
A pair of novelty salt & pepper shakers. I have a collection of S&Ps, and this one I once entered into our local fair, under antiques & relics. It won a ribbon!

Here’s a pair of pears! 🙂 They are sitting on my counter until they ripen a bit more.
Something a little different today, for Feline Friday.
I collect novelty salt & pepper shakers, and these are pretty cute, so thought they would be interesting to see. The blue one is for pepper, and the yellow one is for salt. 🙂
