Already Autumn – One Liner Wednesday

One-Liner Wednesday – A backhanded compliment?

***

Hard to believe it’s already Autumn. I love to see the leaves as they change from summer green to the fall season red, orange, and yellow.

This shiny red flower is called Anthurium. First time I ever saw one of these I thought it was artificial because it was so shiny.

I always thought the red color of the Poinsettia was the flower, but really they are just the upper leaves of the plant. The actual flower part is the small yellow or green middle part.

Flower of the Day – Virginia Creeper

These are just a very few of the leaves of the Virginia Creeper vines that grow over our backyard fence. They turn this pretty red and rust color every Autumn. Our friend who used to live next door planted them years ago, and they are still going strong.
