Question Fun – General Wotnuts

Question Fun – General Wotnuts

Question Fun – General Wotnuts!

The Topic Today Is – General Wotnuts

What does it mean when someone says “What is a silly question?”

I guess they want you to ask them a silly kind of question.

What would be the better pet? A unicorn or Pegasus?

I’d like a Pegasus better.

They are cool looking, and can fly.

Why Y and Why is Y where it is, and why is Y called just Y and not Why?

Why do you ask these strange questions about the letter Y? Y just is…someone somewhere said that’s what it is and we believe them. That’s why.

Would you if offered the choice of knowing or not knowing the day you die and how take it?

Which is worse in your eyes, smacked in the face or smacked on the behind?

Given the choice of creating a totally new ice cream or a totally new fruit what would you pick?

ice cream

What would you create for either one of the above answers and what would it taste like and what would you call it?

Maybe a sweet iced tea with lemon flavor. It would be topped with a lemon drop candy. I’d call it Flavor of the South.

Uh oh – you have two choices, to eat something alive and wriggling and squirming or something that’s been dead awhile and is rotting?

I choose neither one. There’s always the choice of no choice, isn’t there?

What is your favourite non popular smell?

Is this a trick question? If the smell is not popular and bad, it wouldn’t be my favorite. Everyone’s preference of smells is different, so what I like/don’t like could be opposite of someone else.

61 minutes and counting down is ALL you have to creatively get rid of a body in the middle of the supermarket …. mm … how are you going to achieve that?

Well, this is creepy! I’d call authorities and they’d remove it. Also, the question never said it was a ‘dead’ body. The store is full of living bodies, you know, people. You could holler Fire! and every body would leave immediately!

I am not sure about garden gnomes they kind of look a bit shifty to me, what about you?

haha Yes!

What is your most favoute unusual noise?

The sound of my coffee machine making my first cup of coffee in the morning.

What are five of the most commonly stolen items from the office?

pens, paper, snacks from the break room, toilet paper, and staples/staplers?

Do you have a secret talent or skill that you don’t get to use very much?

Untying and untangling knots. I do this for myself all the time, but almost nobody asks me to untangle their knotty things. They used to, though.

If I gave you 40,000 of your own currency to start a business, what kind of business would you start?

A used book store. I’d have more than one, in different locations, and they would be nice places to come find books, or to just sit and read.

What is your favorite board game and why?

Scrabble…because I like word games.

Name two things that can cause friction between people?.

Money or lack of enough money, and what rules you think are important in raising your children.

Are you afraid of the dark?

Absolutely not! Dark time is my favorite time! You can gaze at the stars and moon, dreaming of galaxies and other worlds.

If not the above, what are you afraid of?

Fish … and you knew I’d say that! haha

Create 3 silly questions of your own?

I’ll have to think about these… back soon… okay here ya go…

Where do you go when you say you’ll be right back?

How long will you ‘really’ be gone, when you say you’ll be right back? A minute? An hour? A day? Infinity time? Never ever come back?

Why do you say  – “I’ll, be right back”, instead of “I’ll be left back?”

If asked a question you only partially knew the answer to in a group of intellectuals would you answer it with a serious face and bluff or would you decline to answer the question?

I’d pretend I knew what I was talking about, and convince others that I was right.

What’s missing from this line up?

What is missing is you asking for a couple of quotes about some topic, AND… there is no music question…!!! I need some music on here, so…. 🙂

At night, when the sky is full of stars and the sea is still you get the wonderful sensation that you are floating in space. ~ Natalie Wood

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream. ~ Vincent Van Gogh

Why does A lead to B and not N or Z, and answer this question from your gut not your conventional learning?

Huh? A B C and 1 2 3 … it just sounds right.

Question Fun # 8 – Philosophy? Maybe…

Question Fun # 8 – Philosophy? Maybe…

Question Fun – Is it? Is it … a Philosophy?

The Topic Today Is – Is It philosophy?

So it will rhyme with bridge?

Would you rather be or a wasp?

What do fish do all day?   What thoughts do you think they have?  (Credit to the awesome Teresa and her Fibbin’ Fridays for this one)

Oh, this is a good question for me. I hate fish!

All fish probably know this fact, and swim around wherever they are – fish bowl, aquarium, lake, pond, ocean – and they plot how to Get Me!

They plan all their ugly faces to make at me, they plan how to stare at me with their beady eyes, and they plan how to Rise Up from their watery domains, in a group, and swim through the air coming straight for me! Ugh-Ugh-Ugh! Shudder & Scream! Die!

What celebrity would you have as a SPOUSE, if you HAD to choose?

None! But if I had to choose … and I’m not really giving this much thought, because I don’t follow celebrities much, but let’s say… Matthew McConaughey – seems like a cool dude.

What’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever broken?

Expensive thing broken…hmmm…can’t really think of anything more than a glass or cup or bowl or plate that I dropped on the floor.

When was the last time you slept more than 9 hours in a stretch?  Why?

I don’t think I’ve ever slept even 9 hours at a time…ever! Even when I was a kid I didn’t need much sleep. Then, and now, no more than 5 or 6 hours. I’ve always been the first one up in the mornings, and the last to go to bed at night. Suits me just fine.

Question Fun – Time

Question Fun – A Question of Time

Rory has asked some more fun questions…this time about Time. We can answer them any way we want! Thanks, Rory!

Click the above link to find out more.

An easy game, and more so if you love questions!  Each game has a topic, and then there are 12 questions relating to the topic – they can be visual, musical, personal, professional, topical, serious, thought provoking, fun, weird and even wacky – the questions will cover all fields and there is no structure to follow, so it could orderly one day and completely random the next time you play!

Today’s topic is ………….. A Question of Time

Small crystal clock – black background

How often do you actually deep think of time as a concept?

Only in my time machine, teleporting all over the place!

When was the last time that you sat down and tried to visualise the future of the planet by 50 years? [Where are we going to be in the year 2069? Explain your thoughts]

In the land of Never-Never…in the time of being in between times

What time is it right now as in the time you are answering this question and where abouts are you in the world?

It is 9:28 a.m. Central Time Texas USA … then I took a break and added some more to this post – now finished at 2:00 p.m.

Tel me about a time when you stepped out of your comfort zone?

When I go to a doctor appointment…always stressful

Last time you had a really good time was … ?

This past Friday, going to yard sales & thrift stores

Quote Time!!! Display two excellent quotes on the subject of horology!

Music is art, and making watches is art, too. ~ J Balvin

Time and tide wait for no man.~ Geoffrey Chaucer

Our lives are but specks of dust falling through the fingers of time. Like sands of the hourglass, so are the days of our lives. ~ Socrates

Let the good times roll … please provide me with three song titles that are about the topic of time in your eyes?

“Time of the Season” by the Zombies

“Let the Good Times Roll” by Shirley & Lee

“Time is on My Side” by the Rolling Stones

“Reelin’ In the Years” by Steely Dan

“Reelin’ In the Years”, by Steely Dan, was released as a single from their album, “Can’t Buy a Thrill”, in 1973. It was written by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, and is on the ABC label.

“Let the Good Times Roll”, by Shirley and Lee, was released from their album, “Let the Good Times Roll”, in 1956. It was written by Shirley Goodman and Leonard Lee, and is on the Aladdin label.

Having a really good time means what in your world?

Going to yard sales & thrift stores with my daughter & grand-daughter

Time to ….. what?

Time to get this post about time done, because the next set of questions will be here so fast, I’m always late getting them done.

Which term do you prefer more ?

Of these on the list I’d prefer more wasted time, because if I’m wasting time, I’m probably having fun doing whatever it is.

Lost Time

Wasted Time

Time Spent

Time flies

What do the following mean? [However DO NOT ANSWER the correct way but answer the incorrect way!]

Huh? I’m supposed to give silly answers I guess?

Ahead of one’s time? … In the future everyone will have a clock implanted into their head so they’ll always be on time.

Behind the times? … When you are secretly spying on someone, and hiding behind the New York Times newspaper.

In the nick of time? … A really good movie starring Johnny Depp

A Race against time! … The TV show Amazing Race

Having the time of your life? … The playback of all the days of your life in a montage before you go to the light

Bide your time? … Taking bids/bets on how long you’ll live

Bad time for you? Oh, ‘bad time’, I first read this as ‘bed time’ hahaha

Having time on your hands? … Wearing a watch

All in good time? … All’s well that ends well

A Matter of time? … “I’m late, I’m late…” said the Mad Hatter, because time does matter to the Hatter!

Can you write a small story on the subject of Time and the Giraffe?

Once upon a time there was a giraffe who couldn’t tell time. He didn’t care, though, because what does he care about keeping time? His day began when the sun came up, he looked for food, tried not to be food for mean animals, and when the sun went down, he’d go to sleep. Every day was the same…all the time. The end.

My giraffe Red Velvet. He was named by a fellow blogger! 🙂 He is white with red spots.

I’ve been lots of places for more than an hour. One of the most frustrating and boring was when we were stuck in the Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) airport during a blizzard. Right now, right this minute what could happen that would change your life totally for the better?

If all my health problems went away, and I’d have no worries.

How well do you handle changes in your life, to your life or to your regular routines?

I like my regular routines, but every once in awhile it’s good to have a change, like an unexpected shopping trip!

If you could jump into a pool of something odd [not water] what would it be?

It would be fun to jump into a wormhole in space, zoom around and see where you land.

What would be so much better if you could simply change the colour of it?

The air. Instead of being clear and un-seeable, we could breathe in rainbow colors according to our moods.

If you had a time machine, would you go back in time or visit the future and would you change anything?

I’d go back in time to erase all the negatives, such as racism, bigotry, hatred, and all wars. There would be Peace.

Do you prefer dogs over cats or cats over dogs?

I love them all, and have had both separately and together. Right now it would be cats.

How would you react if you were unexpectantly changed into a frog?

I’d hop on over to the little lake by our house, find some frog friends.

Wite a random sentence about blogging without using the letter G.

You can connect with people all over the world, and find that everyone has so much more in common than not.

If you could the world over, what would you change?

Same as the other question above…Peace

Why did you do that?

Do what? Change the world to a world where everyone is happy and non-violent? Because I’m so tired of all the negatives we experience as it is now.

If you disinvent something, what would it be and why?

All diseases, because they are horrible.

You have been gifted an elephant – you cannot give it away, donate it or sell it – what are you going to do with your elephant?

Make my elephant a nice barn/house, give him plenty of food and attention. Then write about the joys of owning an elephant.

What are your values with regards your life?

Take one day at a time, have a sense of humor, love for family, care for all animals

Who do you prefer to spend the most time with?

My family

Which is worse, falling over or not getting back up again?

I do both when it’s least expected. Falling over is easy, but getting back up is not easy any more.

If the currency was happiness and goodwill, what job would you perform?

Giving it away

You have lost your Interney connection for ten days, there is no internet connection within 50 miles of where you live. it matters not about what you use to connect, it simply isn’t happening – what will you for those ten days?

This has happened, so I do a lot of fussing, but then get on with reading books (actual paper printed books), doing crafts that are half finished and starting new ones, working jigsaw puzzles, and whatever else I can think of. You can be sure, though, that I’d be checking to see if internet was back on, pretty often.

Is it better to suspect something (bad or hurtful) and not know or to have your worst fears confirmed by sure knowledge?

Better to know the answer to whatever it is, than waste time suspecting and worrying about it. Just tell me and get it over with.

What makes you laugh aloud?   Crack up?   Laugh until your sides split?   When was the last time you had a great big belly laugh?

Listening to what my grand-kids say about things. They are so sure about their opinions, which may be right, but the way they say it is so funny.

Do you suppose Noah had woodpeckers in the ark?  If he did, where did he keep them?   Apologies to the Darwinians in the crowd…this is merely for fun, okay?

Yep, if he didn’t we wouldn’t have woodpeckers in the world today. They just flew around in the ark, mingling with all the other animals. All creatures were well behaved in those days, and caused no trouble. (heh heh)

Why is “Charlie” short for “Charles when they are the same number of letters?

Because it is a cute name for a little kid, and then when he gets older, he can then use the grown-up version of his name.

Thankful, Joyful, Grateful

What  happened in your world this past week that made you feel thankful, joyful or grateful?

That we had a huge storm last night, but no windows were broken out by the hail.
