Nanopoblano 2020

Nanopoblano 22020

Nano Poblano starts November 1st. It is for National Blog Posting Month, where we post an entry on our blog, each day of this month. It can be of anything we want, so that makes it fun!

November is the month to do NanoPoblano!

I’ve done this every year since 2015.

This time I will be doing simple coloring pages with a Haiku.

Fun day in the park

Fido frolics fancy free

Butterfly will smile

Feline Friday – Orion

Feline Friday – Orion

Feline Friday

This black cat is named Orion. He’s been featured on my posts before, and belongs to my daughter, son-in-law, and grand-daughter. He’s a really pretty kitty, and his fur is so soft! He didn’t used to like me, and would hiss, but that was a long time ago. Now he loves when I pet him and rub his tummy.

I wrote a few more cat Haiku poems the other day (June 3, 2019)

Cat falls asleep quick

Feel vibrations of his purr

Cat napping is good

Jump and pounce all day

Itty bitty kitty cat

Kittens love playtime

Kitty come to me

No really…come over here

Kitty looks aloof

Funny for Friday

Funny for Friday

Wishing y’all a fun weekend!

Here’s a fun thing I’ve been messing around with today. It’s Google Poems. Have you every tried it?

You know how when you do a search, Google will do that automatic fill in thing, of what you might be looking for? Well, some in the list are pretty funny, so it’s a thing to make it into a poem. Some I’ve taken straight off the list, while others I’ve skipped around with different search words.

Here’s some I did:

Don’t let the pigeon drive the bus

He’s a pirate who said

Birds of a feather flock together

Whoosh – let it go

Sometimes we stumble where shadows stand

Sometimes we tell the truth

Sometimes we put up walls

Sometimes we need a break

I could use a love song

I come to the garden alone

I could only imagine

I couldn’t sleep

Why will the world end

Because the night isn’t what it’s cracked up to be

Why will message not activate

Isn’t life strange

SHARE YOUR WORLD 2016 – WEEK 20 sywbanner

Time once more for the Share Your World weekly questions from Cee and answers from me! 🙂

Share Your World – 2016 Week 20

Q1 – When do you feel most connected to others?

When do I feel most connected to others?

It’s when typing and talking to my online sisters and brothers…

When we share this and that, in friendly chats,

We find things in common,

Like poetry and cats.

Q2 – What daily habit would you like to introduce to your life?

A new daily habit that I think would be cool,

Is if I’d follow this one little rule…

Finish a project, before moving on..

Stick to a topic, like a dog with a bone.

Q3 – What one mini-little adventure would you like to have in the coming week?

To have an adventure sounds nice on paper,

But, I’d have to go out to do such a caper.

I’d rather have my set routine –

Just little surprises are more my thing.

Q4 – List a few things or events that changed your life.

Can’t think of a time that changed my life,

Except the big ones, having kids, and becoming a wife.

Traveling around from place to place,

I’ve found it important to have a home base,

And, to not be afraid to say what I think…

Because life is short – it goes by in a blink.

POETS ON THE PAGE and NAHAIWRIMO  3514_10208104262674907_7909061033785962874_n No%205-7-5

Today is the first day of National Haiku Writing Month. We are supposed to write a Haiku poem (to a prompt, or not) for every day this month.  You may find out more about this challenge by clicking below. Anyone can join in!

The prompt word is … Zap

I try to join in with Poets on the Page, whenever I can. It is a fun, ongoing challenge, with weekly prompts. Find out more about this, by clicking below:

The prompt words are Expanding consciousness, Divine Mystery, Flowing Energy.

The style of poem to try is the Harrisham Rhyme Poetry (consisting of a rhyme scheme of ABABAB, 6 lines, take the last letter of the first word of each line, making that letter the first letter of the next line, repeating until 6 lines are written)

Zap me with your energy

Pretend I am your star

Dance a song of synergy

Expend me from afar

Darling, no need for apology

Gratitude leaves no scar

Grant me this one wish

Zap me with your energy

I’m your only star

For today’s # 11 post, I was trying to think of something different to do. Awhile back I did a similar post for the poetry course over on Blogging U, which was using random tweets from my twitter timeline.

This time I’m using my email timeline for inspiration. I scrolled down, looking for random words, then pretty much in the order I found them, I wrote them down…sort of a poem/story type thing. Well, I don’t know what you’d call it, but it was interesting to see how they came out. Here’s three of them…

Caged…your insidious fish…

Glory World, please come Nano…like

Eleventh Monday secret…a wild shot

Honesty…Writer’s Choice

In November, answers block magic…

Please moderate colors

Dear Ghost,

Be flash about music

Rules challenge you

Behind tragedy, smiles escaped…

Independent evening learned – Worldwide

Pick anything…

Myths painted without fun?

Peace, Rain, Art…Quiet, Ahhh

Medicine pin release

I escaped Mystery

Bachelor actually garnering beautiful

Fairyland Autumn

Bad brain, here…

Don’t – it’s broken…curious

Dream – Downfall

Putting the fireballs luminous…

Revolution is now following you

Some rocks I painted
