1. Post a video of a song that makes you think about being a teenager.

“Where the Action Is”, by Paul Revere and the Raiders. Written by Steve Venet and Tommy Boyce, it was the theme song for the TV show of the same name, which ran from 1965 to 1967.

As a teen-ager at this time, I remember this show and watched it all the time. Later, the show went on tour with Paul Revere and the Raiders, plus a lot more singing stars of the day. They did come to our town, and I went to it … amazing and fun … it was the first concert I ever went to.

2. Post a video of a song that is about finding your voice.

***

This prompt is something I don’t understand, so … here’s a good song … maybe about finding your ‘voice’ as a writer.

“Paperback Writer” by the Beatles, credited to Lennon/McCartney, was released in 1966.

3. Post a video of a song that represents a “I’ll kick your ass attitude”.

***

“How Do You Like Me Now”, by Toby Keith, was co-written by him, and released in 1999.

This song is kind of funny, because the guy finally made it as a singing star, and he goes back to show the girl that snubbed him back in high school, what she missed out on.

For this week’s Manic Monday, Sandi suggests the song and title, “Turn the Page”. If you’d like to join in the challenge, just click the above link. The only thing, really, is just use the weekly song title somewhere in your post. It’s fun! 🙂

This song, by the Beatles tells about a man who wants to be a paperback book writer. In the lyrics, he mentions writing around 1,000 pages so far, and I would suppose he turned a lot of pages while he was writing it. 🙂 I couldn’t find a good video of the Fab 4 singing the song, but here’s Paul McCartney, singing it live.

“Paperback Writer”, by the Beatles was released in 1966. It was written by John Lennon & Paul McCartney, and is on the Capitol (US) labels.

So, do you like to read paperback books? I do. Well, I like hardback books, too. I’ll read just about anything, fiction or non-fiction. I used to not use a book mark to save the page I was on. I just dog-eared them, if it was my own book. I try to use a book mark now, and have quite a few. Most are cute, I think. The thing is, I can’t find half of them, because I leave them in a book when I put them back on the shelf. I took a picture of some of them one time. I’ll see if I can find it. Hang on a second, okay? …

I knew I had this photo, but it took awhile to find it. I also make my own book marks, mostly to leave places we go so random people can find them and keep them.

Now, I usually like a regular paper book, so I can actually turn the pages. I do read some on my Kindle, but turning the page is just not the same. Guess it would be more like ‘swipe’ the page, instead of ‘turn the page’.

That’s about all I have to say about turning the page. 🙂
