One Word Photo Challenge – Jewelry

One Word Photo Challenge – Jewelry

This Week’s Challenges: September 10 – 16 (OWPC, & WW)

***

This week’s prompt word was ‘jewelry’.

I have a lot of jewelry. It’s all just for fun, and not expensive at all. In fact, I buy things to make my own, most of the time, and find odds and ends at yard sales, and also the craft stores. It’s fun. I’ve posted photos of some of mine here and there for different challenges, so I thought I’d do something else.

As you can see from the first photo, this looks like a big ol’ tangle of strings, ribbons, chains, and doo-dads. That’s how most of my jewelry looks, all jumbled up. I try to get it all organized sometimes, but before I know it, it’s all in a mess again.

One bit of random things about me is that I can untangle such things really fast. As far back as I can remember, even in elementary school, kids would come to me to get their necklaces un-knotted.

The next photo is after I untangled the mess in the first photo. It only took a very few minutes. 🙂

One Word Photo Challenge – Jaguar

One Word Photo Challenge – Jaguar

This Week’s Challenges: September 3 – 9 (OWPC, WW & Special Announcement)

***

The word of the day is ‘jaguar’. These may or may not be jaguars, but it’s as close as I can get, as I’ve never seen a real one.

The first is on a shirt I have. The second is made of glass (we usually call it a panther). Third is my maybe jaguar ring.

ONE WORD PHOTO CHALLENGE – INSECT

Standard

ONE WORD PHOTO CHALLENGE – INSECT

This Week’s Challenges: August 20 – 26 (OWPC & WW)

  • Moth
  • Mystery Bug
  • Cricket
  • Grasshopper
  • Wasp
  • Praying Mantis

I like taking photos of all kinds of insects and spiders. Spiders aren’t insects, though, so didn’t add any of those.

The mystery bug…we never did find out what it was. It was strange looking, and we were invaded by them one spring. The praying mantis was looking like he enjoyed posing for his photo!

ONE WORD PHOTO CHALLENGE – GRAIN

This Week’s Challenges: July 2 – 8 (OWPC & WW)

I think I was a day early on the rainbow post for Weekly Weather (thanks for visiting! 🙂 …oh well, today we are finding photos of grain!

To join in the challenge, and see other entries, just click the above link.

Here’s some different kinds of grains I found.

Birdseed … we buy this all the time to put in the bird feeder outside. There are several types of grain in the package, and the birds eat them all.

Corn is also a grain…this one was found at the corn maze we went through.

Woodgrain… wood has all kinds of pretty patterns.

ONE WORD PHOTO CHALLENGE – GORILLA

This Week’s Challenges: June 25 – July 1 (OWPC & WW)

***

This week we are to find photos of a gorilla. This is all I have. It was on the roof of a local business, which was pretty cool. I don’t have many photos of any kind of monkeys or apes, as I’m not very fond of them, and we don’t have a zoo or anything here. I did work for a Silverback Gorilla once before, though. I’ll post about it in one of my Random Posts of jobs, pretty soon. 🙂
