October Squares – Kinda Icy

Well, Fall/Autumn has barely begun yet we have winter already in October! The trees are still green, and now the leaves are coated in ice. The roads are like skating rinks, and we can’t even see out of our back door or windows, as they are coated with ice. We’ve had very low temperatures, thunder & lightning, pouring rain/sleet, and ice for two days now.
It’s not over yet … our Winter Storm will add snow on top of all this tonight.

October Squares – Kinda Fiery Hot Sun

I took this photo of the bright sunrise last Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. It shows how bright fiery orange and white it was shining over the lake.
It may be fall, but here it is still hot weather. In fact tomorrow (Wednesday) we are supposed to set a record breaking high of about 100 degrees!

I’ve painted many rocks, called Kindness Rocks, and I leave them all around town for people to find. They are fun to paint and I hope whoever finds them gets a smile or a good feeling from them. I try to make them cute or funny, or just a word or two of something uplifting…such as ‘smile’, ‘hope’, ‘believe’, ‘yes’, ‘peace’, etc. I will also paint a butterfly, or ladybug, or tree, or flower, just anything simple and fun onto the rocks.

I wanted to end the October Squares/Lines on a fun note.
This photo is of a watermelon, carved into the shape of a shark’s head, showing jagged teeth.
It is set upon a tablecloth of red and white stripes/lines.
My son-in-law did the carving, and it was for my grand-daughter’s birthday one year. So cute!
The watermelon has dark and light green stripes/lines, too.
The music video is of some children line dancing and singing “Baby Shark”
