Well, I couldn’t think of anything at first, so looked on some lists for songs using the prompt word. I did find a few good ones, and even one I hadn’t heard before tht was cute and catchy about a first love that had ended. Also, one that I remember from way back, about a true love/first love. I had them both on here, but then… then… I found this one, and it is one I’ve heard many times, and love most all the artist’s songs. It fits the prompt very well, I think.

What put it over the top, and became my entry, was the video. It has kitties & birds! They are so adorable, I couldn’t resist. Hope you like it, too. 🙂

“Morning Has Broken”, by Cat Stevens, was released as a single from the album, “Teaser and the Firecat”, in 1971. It started out as a children’s hymn/poem, written by Eleanor Farjean, to be included in a hymn book, in 1931.
