DIG

Dig, hoe, rake, plant

Dig, hoe, rake, plant

Jim Bob felt like an automaton, now, just like everyone else.

Dig, hoe, rake, plant

Straight rows, down the line, even spaces, he was not allowed to stop.

Strange voices, weird food, sickening smells…just keep going.

The plants talk to him, chanting…

Dig hoe, rake, plant

The aliens look on, and revel in their take-over of the Earthlings.

Lost

Like the 17 year locusts

They’d heard the rustling for days

The Legend:

They thought it was only legend

But now, in the glare of city lights, the mole people

Were emerging …

One by one they were brought to tears as once again they

Saw the lights of the city

Back to reality

The time of the Dragon

Will manifest soon

Fire and flame – shards of ice

Dragon wakes – will not play nice

Light years away, a star died.

Radio frequency picked up it’s death cries –

A sadder sound you’ll never hear.

It’s heartrending death cries only reaching us now in

The still dark night.

“Don’t Cross the Line”

It got him, just as his next footstep crossed over the line.

He was warned, yet he took the dare.

With that one step he entered another dimension in time and space; he was never seen again.

As rolling thunder crossed the sky, echoes of doom’s footsteps signaled the end of days.

THE GAME JUST GOT REAL

Linda loved those hidden object computer games, and was excited to get started on this one.

She downloaded the app, and as she found each item, it materialized in the room, launching itself at her.

Dodging the sharp tools, she realized she should always read the fine print on those games.

DOOMED

“By the dark of the sun, by the light of the moon, shift sand together, you’ll be dead soon.”

Thus chanted the old crone, as she stabbed pins into the Voo-doo doll.

As mouths filled with sand, the screams of the doomed were silenced.

THE BOTANIST

Startled, the botanist re-read the results of his experiment on the blossoms of spring.

Every bloom, from every tree he tested, showed an anomaly in it’s DNA sequence.

A terrifying scenario flashed through his mind; the beautiful blooms were , in fact, alien life forms, only here to take over the world.
