Liebster Award and Fibbing Friday

I would like to thank Beth, of Pilgrimage Studio, for nominating me for the Liebster Award! Thanks so much for thinking of me, Beth! You can find her wonderful blog at this link:

Liebster Award

These are the details for the award:

  • Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you
  • Share 11 facts about yourself
  • Answer the 11 questions the blogger(s) gave you
  • Nominate 11 bloggers that deserve the reward
  • Create 11 original questions for the nominees to answer
  • Let them know they’ve been nominated

I can’t think of any new facts about myself that you haven’t already read about, either.

For the 11 questions (10), Beth asked that we answer these fun questions for Fibbing Friday! 🙂

These are fun questions we’re supposed to answer in any kind of silly, wrong, or outrageous ways. Just for fun!

Find out more at the link found below.

Below are 10 questions, the answers to which are entirely up to you.
The idea though is to fib a little, a lot, tell whoppers, be inventive, silly or even outrageous in your response as long as you evade the truth (or maybe bend it a little).

The questions & my answers:

  1. What event became known as “The Shot Heard ’Round the World”?  … That event was when I popped open a tube of pre-formed biscuits.

  1. What exactly is a duvet?  … I believe this is a two doctor veterinarian’s practice.

  1. What was The Man in the Iron Mask about?  … This is the nickname of all professional welders.

  1. Divan, Chesterfield, settee, and Davenport are all examples of what?  … These are 4 lawyers that share an office.

  1. Why was the Eiffel Tower built? … I think I heard it was first used as a beacon, or lighthouse.

  1. The Harry Potter series wasn’t about a boy who finds out he’s a wizard. What was it about?  … It’s about 500 pages of words.

  1. What was Moby Dick about?  … Old Moby was the brother of the detective Dick Tracy. They are cartoons.

  1. What was The King’s Speech about?  … He spoke of the secret way to catch a leprechaun.

  1. If you go to a pub and ask for a “black & tan”, exactly what do you get? … You will receive a big German Shepherd dog of your very own.

  1. What is “shepherd’s pie”? … It’s what you feed to your new best friend, the dog you got at the Pub.

I like getting these awards, and answering the questions, but I don’t nominate anyone else. I feel every blogger is awesome, and all should be recognized by visiting their place. But, if you’d like to answer the above questions, and grab the award badge, feel free to do so. 🙂

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

5. Make up to 11 questions and ask to your nominees.

Are you a serious blogger or just having fun here?

I would say I’m just having fun blogging, but am pretty serious about posting things every day. I enjoy it.

What was the reason that made you start a blog?

I wanted somewhere to share my writing of my fan fiction story, “Two Souls: Into the Fire”, in the hopes that someone would like it.

Take a while to think and let us know: what object that is in your reach right now, influences you? ( e g a tv)

That would be my computer. It’s a desktop, and I use it every day. Besides doing my writing, showing photos, and having fun with challenges, I can look up all kinds of information.

How do you relax?

I’m relaxed all day, every day, because I do what I want, when I want. Mostly I do blogging – reading and writing. That’s relaxing.

Are you superstitious?

Not really. I will knock wood three times just in case, but otherwise, no. I do love hearing about superstitions and maybe getting a little spooked by them. That’s just fun.

Loyalty to the one you love, or one who is right?

That would be loyalty to the ones I love, right or wrong, I’ll have their back.

How can we improve the environment of our planet? Do you take any practical steps towards it?

Lots of things could be done and should be done. Maybe I help by buying pre-used items like clothing and other things at thrift stores and yard sales.

What is one habit you have that you or your family think is childish?

Probably everything I do is a bit childish. I do silly things all the time, and get a big laugh from myself and sometimes others. I take photos of all kinds of things for blog challenges, I color in coloring books, I have to have my favorite blanket and pillow if we ever go on vacation, and I do pack them in the suitcase. I’m sure there’s more childish things I do, too.

I nominate anyone who is reading this. Answer the questions & grab the badge! It’s fun. 🙂

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

NABLOPOMO – # 21 – BLOGGING AWARDSuntitleduntitled

Today’s 21st post for the NaBloPoMo blogging challenge, I’m accepting these two awesome awards that was presented to me recently. They are the Liebster Award, and the Infinity Dreams Award.

Thank you so much Bobbi, for nominating me for these two awards. Bobbi’s blog “Drawing on Words” is a delight to read, and can be found here … you should go see what all she posts 🙂

The rules for these awards are:

Thank the person who nominated you for the award, and link back to their blog.

Include the award logos on your post.

Nominate other bloggers that you enjoy reading.

Copy the rules onto your blog.

Tell 11 facts about yourself. (you can use these questions, or make up your own)

Here are the questions I was asked, and my answers:

  1. What’s the story of your blog’s name?

I chose the name of “Teleportingweena” because I love the idea of time-travel. One of my favorite movies is “The Time Machine”, and one of the character’s name is Weena. We also had a cat that was named Weena (Rowena). She sadly passed on, this past August. We always said she could actually teleport herself, because she’d disappear for hours. As an inside cat, there are only so many hiding places, and we looked everywhere. Then, Weena would suddenly re-appear in the last place we’d seen her, looking like she knew secrets of some other dimension. So, that’s why…”Teleportingweena” 🙂

2. Why did you start blogging?

I wanted someone, somewhere to read my stories. I started out on Blogger, and have lots of stories there, and my serial Fan Fiction Story, “Two Souls: Into the Fire”, which I add to three times a week. You can find them here Then, I started the blog here on WordPress, to do more things with my fiction, and to do the many challenges I take part in.

3. What was your favorite class in High School?

English…because I love words, writing, and we got to do essays in that class. Most people would groan when we were supposed to write one, but not me 🙂

4. Favorite Movie?

Well, the Time Machine (the original version), and…pretty much any movie that has rock music in it. Some titles…Dazed and Confused, That Thing You Do, Rock Star, Ricki and the Flash, Empire Records, and all the John Hughes movies of the 80s.

5. Favorite Books?

My favorite book is “Lost Souls” by Poppy Z. Brite (that is the book I write my fan-fiction on). Another favorite that I read at least once a year is “The Survival of Jan Little” by John Man, and I like reading series by the same author, such as all the Stephanie Plum novels, by Janet Evanovich, and all the Shopaholic novels, by Sophie Kinsella.

6. Weirdest thing you eat?

Burned meat. Very, very, very, well done, and better if burned. Any kind of meat. Also, some think this is weird, but I like to put ketchup on meat. 🙂 …A couple of other foods I have eaten, and would eat again are snails (escargot) yum in butter sauce, and fried frog legs (tastes like chicken) 🙂

7. What is your party trick?

I don’t like going to parties, so getting out of going sometimes is tricky. I have some silly excuses, sometimes, whether true or not. One was that I broke my tooth, and didn’t want anyone to see me! haha. actually that was the truth 🙂

8.  What 3 things would you take to a desert island with you?

My make-up. I don’t go anywhere without make-up on. I guess some food, because I have low blood sugar, and tend to feel faint if I don’t eat. And, my time machine, so I can get off that desert island as fast as possible 🙂

9.  If aliens invaded the planet, why would you be the 1st they should take?

Aliens would come to Earth to pick me up. You see, I was dropped off on this planet many years ago, by my fellow space travelers…to do research on this big blue ball you call home. … I am one of them, and it’s time to go back to my home planet. 🙂

10. Share 1 thing you didn’t understand about the world when you were a kid.

I never could understand how the Earth, or any planet could be so huge, and just be floating around in space. It boggles the mind to even think about it even now!

11. ??

There wasn’t an 11th question to ask, unless I missed it. Hmmm…guess I’ll make one up…

If you drive, what kind of vehicle do you have. What dream vehicle would you want?

We only have one…it’s an older, blue Dodge Pick-up. It only has a cassette player (which we don’t use), crank window handles you have to manually roll up or down, but yay, the A/C works! My dream cars would be… a classic Thunderbird, 2 door, powder blue w/white convertible top, or an IROC-Z Camaro… I’ve always loved these. 🙂

My nominations are as follows…there is no obligation to accept these awards, but just know I love reading your blogs!

A Simple Life

Writer’s Dream 9

Knocked Over By a Feather
