Ode to My Heating Pad

***

***

Here’s how the weekend went around here:

  • We’ve been without a TV signal for a week now. It went out a week ago Monday! They keep saying they will fix it, but so far they haven’t. It needs a new box, and they brought one out on Friday, but it quit working, too, after about an hour. Then they said they’d be here on Saturday, but they never showed up. We’ve been waiting and waiting!
  • Without a TV to watch, I just did my blogging. That’s what I do anyway all day, so not much different for me. Just doing my blogging, and reading other blogs.  I found this hilarious song about blogging. Watch it and you’ll see! 🙂
  • We did go out for a little while on Sunday for lunch, and then to several stores. I kept looking for a heating pad, because mine went out, and I need the heat for my sore back. I wanted a certain kind, and it was hard to find one. Finally did get one at the last place we looked, Ahhh good.

1. Post a video of a song that makes you think about being a teenager.

“Where the Action Is”, by Paul Revere and the Raiders. Written by Steve Venet and Tommy Boyce, it was the theme song for the TV show of the same name, which ran from 1965 to 1967.

As a teen-ager at this time, I remember this show and watched it all the time. Later, the show went on tour with Paul Revere and the Raiders, plus a lot more singing stars of the day. They did come to our town, and I went to it … amazing and fun … it was the first concert I ever went to.

***

2. Post a video of a song that is about finding your voice.

***

This prompt is something I don’t understand, so … here’s a good song … maybe about finding your ‘voice’ as a writer.

“Paperback Writer” by the Beatles, credited to Lennon/McCartney, was released in 1966.

***

***

3. Post a video of a song that represents a “I’ll kick your ass attitude”.

***

“How Do You Like Me Now”, by Toby Keith, was co-written by him, and released in 1999.

This song is kind of funny, because the guy finally made it as a singing star, and he goes back to show the girl that snubbed him back in high school, what she missed out on.
