Just Jot It January – One Liner Wednesday

One-Liner Wednesday & #JusJoJan Daily Prompt – January 31st, 2018

My one line is Thank you, Linda!

Today is the last day of Linda’s challenge, Just Jot It January. It’s been a lot of fun, trying to write something for all the contributed prompt words. I think I missed a couple – just couldn’t think of anything for those (sorry).

I’ve enjoyed reading all those that were posted from everyone, too. 🙂

Until next time, happy blogging!

~Birds of a feather flock together~

***

I’ve heard and said this many times, and believe it’s true.

The quote is said to have been first used in the year 1545, when William Turner wrote in, “Rescuing of Ronish Fox” –

“Byrdes of on kynde and color flok and flye allwayes together”.

Here’s my photos of birds flying and flocking together, all taken within a couple of minutes of each other. I believe this birds are grackles, and there are a lot of them around here. They come to our bird feeder, and roost in the treetops. They are also very loud with their unmistakable voices.

The photos were taken on December 19, 2017, between 5:37 and 5:39 p.m. with my phone camera. You can see the pretty orange sky and the tree, then the birds all came flying and flocking in to land at the top of the tree, as the clouds change colors, and lift.

“We are not tea-sing – Our tea is pleasing”

This is a sign we pass by all the time. They change the saying every so often, most times having to do with tea or water, and sometimes funny. One time though, and I never got a picture of it, the sign just said, ‘water water come and get it’. I thought they could have come up with a better one than that.
