Mystery Blogger Award

Mystery Blogger Award!!! (3)

I was gifted with the Mystery Blogger Award by Suze! Thanks so much!

You can find Suze blogging at the above link.

What is Mystery Blogger award?

“Mystery Blogger Award” is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. –Okoto Enigma

Rules for the following are:

• Put the award logo/image on your blog.

• List the rules.

• Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.

• Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well.

• Tell your readers 3 things about yourself.

• You have to nominate 10-20 people.

• Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog.

• Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question

• Share a link to your best posts.

Three things about myself:

  1. I volunteered working in libraries while I was in Jr. High and High School, and later at my kid’s school. I got a lot of experience of all kinds of tasks that go on in libraries, such as checking out books, classifying books, getting them ready for the shelf, shelving books, etc. Yet, when I later on applied for a paying job doing the same things, I didn’t get hired.
  2. I’m not really superstitious, but I will knock wood three times in certain circumstances, just in case.
  3. I had a really cool snake ring when I was a kid, but I lost it at a lake. I still miss it. I also lost a neat puzzle ring at the airport in Yakota AFB in Japan. I like rings, but hardly ever wear them… I just like all the strange and weird ones best, so every time I see one, I buy it.

Question I was given to answer by Suze:

  1. you look in your fridge and see the following: two eggs, a bag of fresh spinach, a jar of jelly, pickles (sweet not dill) a rasher of bacon and some French dressing. What do you do for dinner?

I’d make scrambled eggs & bacon, have the spinach and French dressing for a salad, and a spoonful of jelly for dessert. You can keep the pickle.

  1. Give me your best answer (screw modesty) to “why were you nominated?”

Because you like me…you really like me! And, you know I can’t resist doing these award things.

  1.  If you were stuck writing non-fiction for the rest of your bloggery term..what subject would you write about?

Aliens, UFOs, Ghosts, all weird things…because they are real and true.

  1.  Yes or no, and why or why not??? aren’t these the BEST questions EVER?

Yes! I think these questions are some of the best I’ve seen, because they are fun and not too deep and thought provoking. I tend to skip those kind.

  1. If you could rename your blog, what would you name it?

My Weird World

My favorite posts are – all of them If I didn’t like them I wouldn’t post them. Take your pick out of all the variety on here.

So, I’m leaving this award open to any of you that want to take part. Grab the banner, answer some questions, and have fun with it!

You can answer the same questions Suze gave me, or here’s a few more suggestions:

  • what’s your fairy tale name? (favorite color, favorite flower/favorite fantasy character)
  • look to your right … what do you see?
  • you can only spend $10 (ten dollars) for a gift for someone = where do you go, and what do you buy
  • You travel to a galaxy far far away…what do you find there?

Guilty Reader Book Tag

Guilty Reader Book Tag

Guilty Reader Tag

So, I saw these book tag questions over at Orangeowldiaries, and they sounded fun. Thanks, Tabby!

1. Have you ever re-gifted a book that you’ve been gifted?

I haven’t passed on a gift book as a new original gift, but I do lend or give books that I’ve read, to others.

2. Have you ever said you’ve read a book when you haven’t?

Probably, by mistake. I might have forgotten that I didn’t read it, especially if it is similar to others I’ve read.

3. Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?

Yes, if they say they don’t want it back. Also, I’ve borrowed books from the library, then lost it, so it didn’t get returned (I paid for the book, though).

4. Have you ever read a series out of order?

Yes, by mistake, or that I just couldn’t find the first one. Lots of times the next book in a series will mention what happened in a previous book, so you can tell what happens first.

5. Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?

I hope not, but sometimes they want you to tell them all about it, before they read it.

6. Have you ever doggy eared a book?

Yes, I used to do this all the time with my own books (not other peoples or library books). I now use a book mark. I don’t write in books, either.

7. Have you ever told someone you don’t own a book when you do?

I don’t think so, at least not intentionally. It’s the other way around…I might say I do have a book, when I forgot that I don’t have it any more, or I can’t find it.

8. Have you ever skipped a chapter or a section of a book?

Yes, I do that quite often. When there are so many long descriptions of mundane things, or repeating parts, or it’s just boring. Just get to the conversations! That’s the best part for me in fiction, anyway. I once had a librarian lady, who knew I read a lot, say I read like she does…skip the boring parts.

9. Have you ever bad mouthed a book you actually liked?

No, why would I do that? If I like a book, I talk about how good it was.

Well, that was fun! Thanks again, Tabby for bringing this book tag to my attention!

Anyone else want to answer these questions? Go ahead…I’d love to read your answers! 🙂

Share Your World – June 12, 2017

Time for another SYW, with questions from Cee and answers from me! Join in the fun, be it reality or fantasy in your world. Click above link to find out details, and see other entries.

What do you do when you’re not working? If you are retired, what do you that is not part of your regular daytime routine?

Take out of body excursions to visit other universes, just to see how alike or different the aliens are from us here on Earth.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Jump up and down, screaming, “I won!” Then, have to go to the emergency room, because I don’t ever really jump up and down, so I’d be all hurting from all the unusual activity.

What makes you laugh the most?

Trying not to laugh, makes me laugh even more.

What is your biggest pet peeve with modern technology?

Myself, because I mostly don’t understand it.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m glad we have had Cee’s questions to answer last week, and the week before, and the week before that, and looking forward to more questions from Cee next week, and the next week, and the next week! 🙂

SHARE YOUR WORLD – # 9 sywbanner

Time for another Share Your World post, with questions from Cee, and answers from me! It’s always fun, so if you’d like to join in, just click below to find out how!

Share Your World – 2016 Week 9

Q1 – Have you done something you truly wanted to do today?

My days are almost all the same around here, so yes I’ve done all the regular things I always do. Guess you could say I’m right on time with my schedule, such as it is. I did get something put in the mail that I wanted to get in the mail, so that’s good. And I’m answering these questions, which I truly wanted to do. 🙂

Q2- What can you help the world with?

I have no idea, other than not causing any problems, like not starting a riot, not stealing from anyone, not murdering anyone, and things like that. I try not to litter the landscape. If I could wave a magic wand, I’d make the world a friendly, peaceful place, where everyone was excellent to each other, there would be no bad health concerns, and all animals would be cared for.

Q3- If life was ‘just a bowl of cherries’ which fruit other than a cherry would you be?

If that statement were actually true, then there would be no other kinds of fruit besides cherries in the bowl of life. Why are cherries the utmost, tip-top, best, in thinking all is good? Who picked that cherry and put it on top of the ice-cream sundae of life? What if the cherry picker didn’t really like cherries? I mean, not everyone likes the job they have to do…right? … Say the cherry picker would rather have the job of harvesting peaches, or bananas? Then would we say life is a bowl of bananas and peaches? How about all the other wonderful fruits? Are they jealous they weren’t picked to be first? Too many questions! I’d rather be a banana or peach, myself. 😉

Q4- Quote: List at least 3 of your favorite quotes…

  1. “Millions of spiritual creatures walk the Earth unseen, both when we wake, and when we sleep” ~ John Milton
  2. “Important encounters are planned by the souls, long before the bodies see each other” ~ Paulo Coelho
  3. “An idea, like a ghost, must be spoken to a little, before it will explain itself” ~ Charles Dickens
