MY INTERVIEW!

Here’s a link to the interview I did for Friday Phrases.

I have ghost stories to tell! – @ghostmmnc

Thank you Friday Phrases, for thinking of me for an interview! I enjoyed answering the questions! 🙂

Friday Phrases is a weekly Twitter game I’ve been participating in for a long time. Every Friday, we write micro-fiction stories, phrases, poems, jokes, and whatever we want. There is usually a prompt word, but you can use it or not. I like to use it.

We write our phrase/story, in 140 characters or less, using the hashtag #FP , then tweet it so others can read it. We re-tweet theirs. They are always fun to read, and everyone is invited to play along.

Here’s a few I’ve written:

The prompt word was ‘wilderness’ …

~ 50 years after conquering the human race, they roamed freely in the wilderness of concrete and glass, never to fear bug spray again.

~ Sewer rat, sewer rat, eating garbage, growing fat, living free in all the mess, he is king of his wilderness.

The prompt words were ‘pulling strings’…

~ She screamed in pain when the lady pulled the strings. Her first time geting her eyebrows shaped by threading would be her last.

~ With an evil laugh the muse pulled the string holding the plot together – words scrambled for survival.

Anyway, hope you enjoy reading the interview. It was fun to answer the questions. 🙂

Not sure why there is a big gap in there!

MARCH MADNESS

MARCH MADNESS

So, here we are in the month of March. Everyone is having crazy weather, but spring is coming soon. Yay! Quite a few things happen in this month, including the Spring Equinox, which is on the 20th. That same day there will be a total eclipse of the sun, (hope to be able to see it where I am), and it will be a full Super Moon. So many celestial happenings. I’ll be putting out my stones, and water to be energized anew. Also, we will have Daylight Savings time starting up again. I’m glad for that, too. Next would be St. Patrick’s day…always a bit of fun to be had.

My next writing challenge will be next month…the April A to Z Blogging Challenge. It runs for the entire month, using each letter of the alphabet to write a blog post about. Looking forward to that.

I still post new blog entries to my fan fiction story “Two Souls: Into the Fire” over on my other blog… http://ghostmmnc.blogspot.com … everyone is welcome to read that, if you want to.

Also, I still do the Twitter #MondayBlogs, and the #FridayPhrases …those are lots of fun.

So, in this manic month of March, in the interlude between the Blogging U, Writing:201 Poetry Challenge and the next one, I will be posting a variety of things on here. I will try to get in some of all of my favorite catagories, as the mood strikes.

Anyway, just wanted to give an update as to what all I’ll be doing. I do appreciate everyone who visits here, and love the comments, likes, and follows! Thank you so much!

Until next time… Peace, Love, & Light 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

FRIDAY PHRASES STORY

FRIDAY PHRASES STORY

@FridayPhrases is a regular feature on Twitter. It was started by Amy Good @AmicGood and is now hosted by Lara Meone Savine @LaraMeone … It is a fun game of microfiction that anyone can participate in, using the #FP symbol. the only rule being to keep it Twitter length, and have fun writing the phrases, reading what others write, and re-tweeting your favorites.

With the super #FP quips by Vanessa Ravencroft @VanessaRaven added to mine, this little story came about. It takes the Friday Phrases just a little bit farther…Enjoy!

~ The phrases that were used on February 6, 2015, began with the prompt “Alone Again” submitted by Linda Norton @Lindalovessnow

These are the phrases that inspired this story…

My phrase … Her 5th marriage ended, just like the other 4. In a heartbeat, she was alone again. She wasn’t called the black widow for nothing.

Vanessa’s phrase … But she had to beat him with the iron skillet. For some reason he refused to eat her mushroom stew.

My phrase… He seemed a jolly fellow, attending parties with friends, but when he was alone again, his thoughts turned to murder.

Vanessa’s phrase …Or more precisely, to “Murder She Wrote”. Well, that was a show after his own heart. He, too, dreamed to be Angela.

My phrase … Alone again on the mountain top, he planted his flag. The freak accidents his climbing partners suffered, were now looking suspicious.

Vanessa’s phrase… He was right, neither the Judge, nor the Jury, believed his story about a Yeti cutting the ropes.

My phrase … Her ‘so called’ friends invited her to lunch, but they never showed up. It was a prank, and there she was, alone again.

Vanessa’s phrase …As she re-read the note, she realized how lucky she was. They were meeting at the Scottish Diner for Haggis.

My phrase … After her surprise birthday party, she breathed a sigh of relief…now she could relax in her jammies.

Vanessa’s phrase … Last time she relaxed in her ball gown, that wasn’t too comfy. She was a smart girl, jammies this time.

My phrase … He sat on the toy shelf, alone again…the one-eyed teddy bear was always rejected.

Vanessa’s phrase … But then, sitting on a toy shelf was still better than being Barbie in the hands of little Bobby, wanting to anger his sister.

The Story …

The media hoopla that followed Mr. Jolly Fellow’s accomplishments in mountain climbing, went viral. As the first person to conquer Mt. Deception, he was pretty proud of himself. However, his braggadocio rubbed some people the wrong way.

The families of his climbing expedition team mates had questions about how their loved ones met their unfortunate ends. They hired an investigator to look into the incidents.

During the gathering of information, and interviewing friends of Mr. Jolly Fellow, along with mountain climbing experts, a Mr. Yeti came forward. He claimed to be an eye witness to the murder of those poor mountaineers. He had hard evidence, capturing on his phone’s camera, the image of one Mr. J. Fellow, tampering with the ropes and other equipment of his partners.  This was just what the investigators needed to arrest Mr. Jolly Fellow…which they did. They also subpoenaed Mr. Yeti to testify at the trial.

At the preliminary hearing and indictment, it was learned that Mr. Fellow had an obsession with the tv show “Murder She Wrote” Had watched it for years, even the re-runs. He wanted to solve crimes, just like Angela, but in order to do that, he had to commit the crime.

At first, he just fantasized about it. Later, he was so far into his psychosis, he believed he ‘was’ Angela, and even dressed himself as a woman, in private. In his real life, he was still the friendly, outgoing, adventurer.

Mr. Fellow subsequently bonded out of jail, until the trial could commence. When he returned home to await trial, Mrs. Fellow was not happy. After learning of her 5th husband’s alter ego, she took her iron skillet, and whacked him over the head, thus keeping her ‘black widow’ status intact.

Breaking the news to their children, was not as easy. Little Bobby was following in his father’s footsteps, as he’d already mangled the teddy bear (and had now set his sights on his sister’s collection of Barbie dolls). Mom put him into a rehab facility for troubled youth, for treatment.

Her teenaged daughter already had an inferiority complex. She also had delusions of being a Disney Princess…I mean, going around wearing that fancy ball gown, won her no friends. She spent awhile in therapy sessions, but now, after her meds kicked in, she just spent her days vegging out on the couch, watching “Murder She Wrote”, and eating crackers and Haggis.

What was a widowed mother to do? She got an account on a dating site, looking for husband number 6.

After the death of Mr. Jolly Fellow, it came to pass, that Mr Yeti became a hero. He was featured on the cover of People Magazine, and now people all over the world knew that Yeti, the abominable Snowman, Big Foot, and Sasquatch were real. He landed a book and movie deal, that made him wealthy. He used the money to make improvements to his community, of what is now known as Yeti-land.

Mrs. Jolly Fellow was never held responsible for killing her husband with the skillet. Her actions were seen as a good deed, after all, for saving the Criminal Justice System a lot of money and red tape. They didn’t have to provide prison housing, food and medical for Mr. Jolly Fellow, for years and years to come.

Mrs. Jolly Fellow did find husband number 6. It was true love, this time, and she retired her skillet…at least for awhile…Mr. True Love pampered his Mrs., and gave her everything she wanted. He knew he had to, or…whack…

Thank you again, Friday Phrases, Amy Good, Lara Meone Savine, Linda Norton, and Vanessa Ravencroft!

And thank you all for stopping by! 🙂
