I’ve done lots of coloring this past few weeks & months. I’ve used markers on all of these. The one with the butterfly is in a book of stained glass looking pages. Here are four from recently. You can enlarge these by clicking the photo. 🙂

  • Butterfly (or moth) & big yellow moon
  • Pink elephants in swirls of colors
  • Hippie girl with sunglasses and a tropical drink
  • Two girls rocking out with guitars (music notes & stars in background)

I’ve colored so many pages these past months I can’t even keep track of them all.

These are really recent ones, though.

  • A girl – long blond hair – blue jeans/pink top – multi design shawl of pink & blue
  • A van with rainbow colored windows, slogan on van is ‘just keep moving’ – bursts of all colors – title words ‘Hippie Time’ in all colors
  • Day of the Dead skull, done in brown, yellow and aqua – flowers on each corner

The Escapist Coloring Club Prompt – May 1, 2020

I missed the March and April posts for the Escapist Coloring Club, so sort of making up for it now.

I colored a lot of pages though, because that was part of my theme for the A to Z Blog Challenge. I posted coloring pages of animals, and quotes that started with the letter of the day, too.

Even though that challenge is over for this year, I’m still doing a lot of coloring. All these I’ve done since then. They are:

  • Pink & gray designs with flowers and rabbits
  • Pink, gray and aqua mice, with orange, brown, & aqua designs
  • Parrot mama & baby in blues, yellow, and orange, with leaves
  • Two turtles stacked on top of each other, greens & browns
  • Baby leopard with orange & brown spots on background fur of light brown and a few green leaves

Here’s just three coloring pages I’ve done recently.

A turtle

Swans on some water with green reeds

A large colorful lizard

I used mostly gel pens, some Sharpie fine point markers, and a few regular colored pencils on these.

I haven’t done a lot of coloring the past month or so, but I did do this one.

I received as a Christmas gift from my daughter, this new book. It has lots of interesting pages to color in.

On this one I used only markers, because I got a new set. I needed some that had a small or fine tip, because regular ones won’t do on these tiny designs.

The only bad thing is that they soak through to the other side, which ruins the picture on the other side. I’ve been trying to figure out how to fix the pages so I can put a blotter page in between.

Did you know that on most paper like this, and others, you can separate them? It takes a bit of careful doing, but it does work. I learned to do this while making scrapbooks and wanted both sides of an item to show.

This is a rhinoceros that I used several colors on. Green, aqua, orange and yellow. I’ve left some parts white.

I just missed posting for October, though I meant to. But, I did do a lot of coloring during the month, and these pictures are just a few of the ones I finished.

The first one shows two girls roller skating. They have pink pants with black knee pads, and blue and pink tie-dyed shirts.

The next photos are from a little booklet that tells how you should get along with dogs. I finished the whole book, of which there are many more pictures.

The dog photos show:

  • black & white dog behind a fence & some pink & blue flowers
  • brown & white Basset Hound in front of pink flowers/green leaves
  • brown & tan dog in front of two trees with multi-colored leaaves
  • reddish/brown mama dog with five nursing babies

I like the larger designs in these books, as I have trouble with the teeny tiny designs of other kinds of coloring books, and I get bored if it is a large picture. So these are just about right.

I figured I’d better get my September coloring pages posted before the month comes to an end!

Hard to believe it’s already autumn/fall.

I’ve actually been doing a lot of coloring this month. Surprise – surprise!

I decided I’d painted enough on my coffee mug, so went ahead and finished up with the baking/setting of the colors.

This was another mug I painted. It was a plain white one. I painted the words Peace on one side, and Love on the other in blue. Then added some blue and yellow dots around the rim & bottom. This was fun to do.

Now, in the coloring books, here’s a couple of pages.

The book is called, “Happy and Energized Coloring. The pages I did were of a couple of birds and a bird house and some flowers all done in pink and blue. The second one was a multi-colored peacock in a big swirl type image. I think I used markers and pencils on this one.

***

And … I found this cute drawing/coloring book at a garage sale. It’s probably for kids, but I like them anyway. There are lots of pages to color, and also add different things to. This one we were supposed to draw a person on top of the cheerleader pyramid. heh heh about my drawing. 🙂

The book is called, “Best Friends’ Doodles – Delightful doodles to do”. I colored with markers of aqua pants and pink tops, and added a stick on star to each girls t-shirt. There are six girls in the pyramid.

***

I’ve done lots more, and almost filled up another whole coloring book, but will show next time.

Hope you’ve been having some fun coloring days, too. 🙂
