Escapist Coloring Club – April

The Escapist Coloring Club Prompt – April 1, 2018

***

Seems like I’m a bit late in posting my coloring pages this month, but hey…it’s still April!

I did finish the one I was working on last time. It was the one I was using only colored pencils on.

For some reason we have no good lighting areas in this house, and all my photos have some kind of shadow on them. I try different places, shining a light on them, and try to fiddle with the color settings on my phone (which I use to take photos), and still they aren’t as clear as I’d like them to be. Ugh!

Anyway, I haven’t done as much coloring as usual, because either I wasn’t in the mood, or had so many other posts to get ready (A to Z).

Hopefully, next month I’ll get back to doing more.

This one I started the other day (so I’d have something to show you – haha), and I went back to using my markers.

Then I noticed I was basically using the same colors as on the last one. Guess I just like that combination, or I was too lazy to pick out different ones?

So, there you have it…my coloring for this month of April. 🙂

Escapist Coloring Club – March

The Escapist Coloring Club Prompt – March 1, 2018

Can you believe it’s March already?

This means it’s time for another visit to the Escapist Coloring Club, hosted by Linda G. Hill!

If you enjoy coloring, this club is where we can show off what we’ve been doing during the month.

For all the details, just click the above link. 🙂

First of all, I wanted to showcase this original drawing of a cat.

It was sketched and colored by my grandson, who is 8 years old! He called it a Harry Potter Cat.

He has been a creative and talented artist, in several mediums, since very early on.

Didn’t he do a fantastic job! 🙂

Now, here’s the coloring pages I’ve been working on.

I finished this one.

This page is from the 60s coloring book. I like using the black marker, except it tends to smear, making it look messy. I may need to use a smaller point marker, or just do the black parts in colored pencils.

This one I finished completely. It’s from the Mehndi Designs coloring book. There are lots of fun pages in this book.

Here’s the one I’m working on today, from the same book. This time I’m going to be using only the colored pencils. So far it’s taking longer, as the pencils don’t just glide across the paper like a marker does. Still, the pencils don’t run out fast, like markers do.

Wishing you all a fun and colorful March! 🙂

This worked out pretty good. The prompt word today is ‘colour’, or as I usually spell it, “color”.

I’m adding on the new challenge from Linda, called the “Escapist Coloring Club”, too, as it is all about coloring and showing what you’ve been doing along those lines. It’s a fun challenge to do!

Also for today, I’m adding on the “Color Your World” challenge. The color of the day is ‘shadow’.
