My little dog, Guru, is so cute. She’s a fluffy little ball of energy, and always has been

She’s a trained circus performer, as am I, and we’ve been together for five years now.

Wait…let me start at the beginning. My family has traveled around the world with Circus Time. Maybe you’ve heard of us, or seen one of our shows under the big top.

Guru’s mom belonged to the fortune teller with the show. He called himself, “Oracle – The One Who Knows All”. When his dog had puppies, I claimed the runt of the litter for my own. No one thought she’d be able to learn tricks or routines, but she did, with my help. She started out just prancing around with the other show dogs, but soon I had her try out for the cannon shot trick. This is where she’d be shot out of a cannon into my waiting arms. The loud volume of the cannon boom didn’t bother her at all…she loved every minute of it.

After our performances, we’d relax in our trailer, eating a small brunch. Guru would have her dog food, and I’d enjoy tea and shortbread cookies. After a short nap, we’d be ready for the evening show. I’d do my trapeze act, then get Guru ready for the cannon. Like I said, she loved it, and knew when it was time. She’d jump into my arms, and off we’d go. Another town, another show.

JIGSAW – CEREAL & CIRCUS

JIGSAW – CEREAL & CIRCUS

Well, here I am again, giving an update on how the jigsaw puzzles are going. We finished another one just a few minutes ago! Of course we did a high-five, as we do, when we put the last piece in place. It’s gotten to be an every afternoon routine. I get my coffee, bring out the giant puzzle board we work on, and begin finding pieces. Then, the mister, gets up and comes over to see what he can find.

I’m always muttering, “I can’t find any pieces that fit anywhere.”

He’s always saying, “Just keep trying. It’ll all come together.”

And, you know what? It does. 🙂

So, when I last left a post about these puzzles, we were starting one called, “Cereal Boxes”. It was a 1,000 piece puzzle, and was pretty hard, but we finished it.

Next, we worked the one I got for a Mother’s Day gift from my daughter. It is called, “Magical World”, and is by Ciro Marchetti. It’s a very pretty scene of an old fashioned circus, with wild animals, and lots of balloons, and circus performers. This one has only 750 pieces, which I though might be a little easier. It wasn’t. At least this one fit on the board with room to spare. The 1,000 piece ones barely fit on there. We started it on June 1st, and just finished today. 🙂

I have a lot more puzzles to work. I haven’t picked out one, yet, but I will get started on the next one, probably tomorrow. I’ll let you know how it is going, soon! 🙂

If you like working jigsaw puzzles, I wish you lots of fun!

ONE WORD PHOTO CHALLENGE – EXPOSURE

ONE WORD PHOTO CHALLENGE – EXPOSURE owpc-logo-21

One Word Photo Challenge: Exposure

This time we are to use the word ‘exposure’ for finding photos. I think it means something to do with using a camera. I don’t really know anything about camera settings and all that, as I just point and shoot, using my phone, or digital camera. These red tinted ones, were left in a film camera for a long time before printing, so not sure what happened to turn them red. The last one is a film negative I held up to the light. 🙂
