As a play on words, Cee’s prompt for CFFC has reed/read/red. Thanks, Cee! 🙂
I only have a coloring book page with the reeds or as you might say – cattails. There is a duck, too.
Then for the word ‘read’ it can go a couple of ways – I read a lot, or I have read a lot of books. These in the photo are some books I’ve read over the last month or so. They are novels by Clive Cussler, and are very good. (you can click the photo to enlarge)
Then I have my red cardinal stuffed bird toy from ‘ty’.
I have so many little not real animals around here – hard to choose just a few … but here are a few favorites
A collection of giraffes. A small plastic one, a medium sized straw one, and a large plaster one painted white with red spots. Her name is Red Velvet (a friend blogger – Joey – named her. 🙂
Rock Chicken – Fuzzy yellow one with a little guitar & sunglasses
This first photo is of our friends, from quite a few years ago, and an old train. It is at the Ranching Heritage Center, and was moved here to be installed to represent the continuing progress of the area over the years. There are also lots of old houses that have been moved here from their original locations, showing the different eras.
The second two photos were taken while we were in Japan. They are fun little trains for the kids to take a ride on around the area.

“Train Train”, by Blackfoot, is on their studio album, “Strikes”, released in 1979. It was written by Shorty Medlocke, and is on the Atco label. The song “Train, Train“, written by Rickey’s grandfather, “Shorty” Medlocke, became their first success and best known song.
I was looking through my flower photos for a single flower and found this one. I posted this sunflower in 2017, and wrote that it was one I grew myself. Also, it was the very first photo I shared for Cee’s Flower of the Day! 🙂
So, anything man made? How about this – someone somewhere made this bar-be-que grill out of metal.
Then my ‘man’ (husband) made this fire in the grill, so we could have home ‘man’ made hamburgers yesterday. Yes, he made the burgers. 🙂

“Burgers on the Grill,” by Bob Rivers, was recorded in 2003. This one is done to the tune of the Doors song, “Riders on the Storm”.

Burgers on the grill Burgers on the grill I’ve really had my fill Of burgers on the grill When the relatives go home I’m stuck with chicken bones And burgers on the grill
There’s a steak tip on the coals It fell down through the holes And now it’s caught on fire Smells like a funeral pyre I was tryin’ to get it back But it’s turnin’ pretty black Steak tip on the coals
