Xenarthra is the animal group which includes the sloths, armadillos and anteaters. The xenarthrans originated in South America around 59 million years ago. Although at one time xenarthrans were found throughout the Americas, today only one xenarthran, the nine-banded armadillo, is found as far north as the United States.

Coloring page shows a member of the Xenarthra family of animals, such as the brown throated sloth. The anteater and armadillo are others that are in this classification.
This one I colored with yellows, and browns, with touches of red and blue. The mama and baby are hanging from a brown tree branch with green leaves.

Coloring page shows a very long snake. It is twisted all around the page, and is colored red, green, and black.
A viper is among many well known venomous snakes, and several are found here in TX. They include the rattlesnake, coral snake, cottonmouth water moccasin, and copperhead.
After living here most of my life, I can say I’ve never seen any of these in the wild. I have seen them in live displays. I can say that most are not colorful like the coloring page, but a color that will blend in with their natural habitat.

I couldn’t find one in my coloring books, so I looked for a picture on line to trace. Then I colored it in. I added blue zig-zags and blue bubbles for the background.
