CFFC – metal

Dan is now hosting Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge! Find information at the below link. Thanks so much for continuing this fun challenge each week, Dan.
For Dan’s challenge:

Metal horses (running across the bare ground). These photos were taken by my daughter while she was at our local park. I don’t know why these sculptures are there, as there is no sign, but they’ve been there for years.
***
Colorful metal dinosaur T-rex seen in a yard as a decoration
***
A metal flower art sculpture. Not sure what kind of flowers they are supposed to be, but they were red, and unusual. It was fairly large – maybe 4 feet tall.

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

That is funny. I would certainly expect a sign for the metal horses.

Thanks, Thomas! I really like the horse sculptures, and I wish they would have some sign by them. I did go and looked up what I could find about the artist. He was a local artist, Steve Teeters, and he did these and many other metal installation public art around town. He had his foundry/studio here. Sadly he passed away, I read, of a stroke at age 58, back in 2014 I believe.

I like those horse sculptures too, from what I can see in your photos. It is great that you looked up the artist. 58 years old is an early age to go. That was unfortunate.

The horses are very interesting.

Thanks, Sadje! I like them, too. I was reading about the artist, and I think it said the horses were to remember the wild horses that roamed the area in the long ago past. 🙂

Love your petal to the metal ; ) I think they resemble lilies.

Thanks, Rebecca! Glad you like the metal flowers, They do look kind of like lilies, don’t they! I saw some different ones at the store awhile back, and they were so expensive though. 🙂

Metal art can be pricey. We go to art fairs to look for deals.
