Flower of the Day – Shasta Daisy
***
I like the look of this white daisy with yellow center and a dark round spot in the middle. I’d call this a classic daisy look. It’s called a Shasta Daisy. Actually the flower was white, but in this photo they look pale pink.

Who knew there were so many different types of daisies? The FOTD challenge makes me google more about the different flowers displayed.
Always find something interesting.

Thanks, Ladysighs! I know what you mean! I’ve been doing this challenge for a lot of years, and still learn more about different flowers all the time. I can identify some just by looking, but others I want to know more about. 🙂

Clicking on flowers keeps me from clicking on things I don’t want to know any more about. Like the news. 😦

So pretty and so spring. I’m ready for spring.
Have a fabulous day and week, Barbara. ♥

Thanks, Sandee! It feels like spring or even summer here today. Last week snow, this week temps almost 80 degrees. We still could have snow coming, and usually does.
Happy Monday! ❤

Thanks, Emily! I like this pastel color too. Guess the camera really was in a pink mood that day. 🙂

Thanks, Cee! I like how it looks, too. I seem to remember that these were white flowers, but the phone camera turned them pastel pink. I like them though. 🙂

They do, I wonder why? The most common Daisy here in Maroubra Australia is the African or Gazanias they vary from white through yellow pink and purple.

Thanks, Andrew! I’ve been doing this flower challenge a long time and am surprised at all the different varieties of flowers there are, like the daisy. I love seeing some of the flowers from your area, as they all seem exotic and different from what we have here. 🙂

Thank you on behalf of our zone. I had thought most of our flowers to be Native.Yet most are not and I’m not speaking of the European imports which do so well here but those the council encourages us to plant.
