A Love Song specific to you and your spouse (or significant other, may it be human or in any other form 🙂 ). Thanks, Di, for this wonderful prompt. Please check out her blog Pensitivity101

Well, I don’t know if this is about a significant other, but we always had songs we associated with our pets. This one was for my daughter’s cat, Gretchen. She lived with us for many years, and was such a character. She loved my husband better than anybody.
At night he would go into the bedroom to read and close the door. Gretchen would go to the door in the hallway, and scratch three times. He would open the door and she’d jump on the bed to snuggle with him until lights out. His nickname for her was Sweetness!
This was every night. She didn’t look kindly to anyone disrupting her routine, either. She’d give us the furry eyeball if we came in on ‘her time’. Anyway, we always thought this song was her song. ❤
Gretchen was an awesome cat. Sadly, she traveled over the rainbow bridge a few years ago. She was a beautiful Tortoiseshell Cat, and definitely had the Tortie ‘cattitude’. 🙂

“Knock Three Times”, by Tony Orlando and Dawn, is on their 1970 album, “Candida”. It was written by Irwin Levine and L. Russell Brown.
Thanks, Lauren! It is a really good song, and fits her personality so well. We sure get to know each pet as individual personalities, as I’m sure you know, with Annie. ❤
Thanks, Ladysighs! haha She sure could be jealous, and finicky, and also funny. Same here, it sure throws me off to get interrupted, then I have to start over. 🙂
Thanks, Bee! Glad you like this one. Pets are part of the family and each have their own personalities and quirks. They make their needs known even if they don’t speak in words. ❤
Thanks, Ellen! It is a fun song and fun to sing along to. Torties are so special, aren’t they. Each has a unique personality. I love seeing yours on your blog. 🙂
I loved all their songs… ❤️

A jealous cat! Maybe it meows three times. I don’t like being disturbed either when I’m doing something important. Good song for the prompt.

Great choice and I can just picture Gretchen scratching three times on the door when she wanted it opened, so she could jump on the bed to snuggle.
