I see these flowers when I walk around the neighborhood. They spread like wildfire. 😦
One year we dug and dug and dug them all up from our backyard.

Thanks, Ladysighs! I used to have a potted cactus I dug up from the lake. I had it for years and every so often a flower would bloom from it. It was a purple one though. I didn’t know they spread. Have to be careful of all those spines! 🙂

My husband wore big boots and thick sturdy gloves! Our backyard is wild – not maintained. Whatever comes up is decided by the deer who pass by every day. 😉
