Stream of Consciousness Saturday – Home

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “home.” Use it as a noun, a verb, an adjective, or an adverb. Enjoy!

“Home-Home-Home” = the words the ghost couple in “Beetlejuice” the movie had to say when they wanted to get out of a scary place. I love that movie!

Home is where I live. Home is where I’m most comfortable.

At school I didn’t mind doing homework. I liked school a lot.

My daughter is homeschooling my grand-daughter. My other daughter home schooled my grandson for awhile. My sister home schooled both my nieces many years ago. I don’t think I could have done that. And now, I’d be scared to send my child to a public (or even private) school, as it’s so dangerous out there now.

Other thoughts …

I love home grown vegetables – so much better than store bought

Home made meals are so much better than restaurant food. But sometimes it’s fun to go out.

Some people have potatoes for breakfast and call them home fries, but we always called them hash browns.

And here’s a favorite song about Home!

“Home”, by Phillip Phillips

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

  1. I completely feel you about the dangers (and drawbacks) of public (and private) school these days. I’m so glad I don’t have kids. And indeed, home-cooked meals are so delicious! I should have included in my own SoCS post that the people at my possible new care home cook dinner everyday. So much better than the meal delivery service crap I get now.

  2. Thanks so much, Astrid! Situations in schools have changed so much since my girls were young. So sad, and I remember when I was in school, how much I enjoyed going and nobody was afraid.
I’ve never tried the meal delivery services, as we just cook from scratch here at home most times. Hope you get some home type cooking soon! 🙂

    • Thanks, Ellen! It’s wonderful to be able to help the little ones along in their learning. Seems kids are so smart these days, and I’m usually surprised with their observations and comments. 🙂
