Flower of the Day – Dangerous?

This is a large, pale green succulent with fleshy leaves. At the end of each leaf is a long red spike. Yikes! Looks dangerous.

It’s an AGAVE. I bought some large ones for a customer once and bent down close enough to poke my face. Ya nasty!
