Notice – WP Problem

The past couple of days I’ve been unable to like or comment on some blogs. I keep trying work-arounds and sometimes it works … or not. It happens randomly, as some are still working fine.

I had a chat with a WP helper, and they were helpful and nice. But, they couldn’t figure it out either. They sent me all kinds of links and solutions to try, but I really couldn’t understand them.

Anyway, if you are missing me liking your post, or leaving a comment, this is why. I am still reading and seeing your photos, which I really do like, just can’t let you know right now.

Hope it will go back to normal soon. 🙂

  3. When you go to a web site, WP puts a little box in the botton right corner of the screen. It says either Follow or Following, and to its right, “…”.

    Hit “…”. A menu appears. Is one of the options “Log In”? Hit it.

    I found that WP had logged me out of every site. As most sites require you to be logged in in order to interact, I was not permitted to Like or comment.

    The good news, if you save your credentials in your browser, is that it is a simple, 2-click process.

  5. So sorry to hear it, Barbara. Hoping they can troubleshoot and help you figure it out. I’m guessing they have already suggested clearing your cache out? You might have to sign back in to WP afterwards but…

    • Thanks, Li! I’m just carrying on as much as I can as normal. Some blogs I can find a way to like and others I can’t, even in the reader. I looked up what a cache is and didn’t understand a word of it. Hopefully this will someday work right again. Thanks for the information. 🙂

      • If you use Windows, look at the bottom left of your screen and see the little window with a “type here to search” and type in clear cache and it will give you step by step instructions. Do you have kids or grandkids that could help you? I know my kids have been my technical support for a long time.

  6. I was wondering where you were 🙂
    A few days back, I was having trouble logging in. Finally figured out that I needed to use the WordPress app and not the normal way I had been logging in since the beginning. I figured it out, you will too! Oh, I do know that WordPress is censoring people…well, maybe not “know” but it has been mentioned in other posts.

    • Thanks, Holly! Yes, I’ve been here, but can’t easily get to yours to like. I am reading your posts every day, though. . I’m still trying, though. I only use my desktop computer so don’t know about apps or how they work. Yes, I’ve heard that WP sometimes will censor, but very rarely. 🙂
