I almost couldn’t find a song using these prompt words. Nothing came to mind. I did a short search and found this one, though. I do remember hearing it before, and I do like most Aerosmith songs.

I never paid attention to the lyrics before, as I just like the tune and the chorus. It seems like a pretty sad, giving up kind of song, but by the end something changes, and the message I guess you’d say is whatever troubles you find, there is always hope and light forthcoming.

From a Wiki article:

Amazing” is a power ballad performed by American hard rock band Aerosmith. Don Henley lends his vocals, shadowing lead singer Steven Tyler in parts of this song. It is written by Steven Tyler, with assistance from the professional songwriter and former bandmate Richie Supa. It tells about his troubled life and drug abuse after the band broke up. It peaked at number 24 on the US Billboard Hot 100, number three on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart, number nine on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40. The song was also successful abroad, peaking at number two in Iceland, number four in Canada, number five in Norway, and the top 20 in the Netherlands and Switzerland.

“Amazing”, by Aerosmith, is a single from their 1993 album, “Get a Grip”. It was written by Steven Tyler and Richie Supa, and is on the Geffen label.

  1. Steven Tyler has an amazing voice thanks for sharing this song. Supa spent 3 years in jail for cocaine possession and when he got out, he wanted to party with Tyler, but Steven had gotten off of drugs by then. Richie got straight and Tyler thought that was amazing, which triggered this song.

    • Thanks, Jim! I’m glad I found this song, too. I hadn’t thought of it in a long time. Good to know a little more with your comment about what this song meant and came about. It’s a good one.
Weird coincident just a few minutes ago – I’d just read your comment, then went out to the garage for a minute, and this song was playing on the radio we keep on out there. haha! 🙂
