- Exactly what did Columbus do in 1492? … Well, seeing as how he was a detective, he probably solved a crime.
- Why does Canada celebrate Thanksgiving in October rather than November as the US does? … Because they need to get their celebrating done before really cold weather and snow comes to them.
- Why do we carve pumpkins into Jack-o-lanterns for Halloween? … On Halloween the Great Pumpkin raises up and sends orders to his minions to carve pumpkins in his likeness.
- If “octo-” means eight, then why is October the tenth month? … An octopus has a bunch of tentacles, but can’t count right, so when he was chosen to represent a month, he picked the 10th one.
- Why do kids dress up in costumes and go trick-or-treating on Halloween? … Once a year on Halloween it is decreed that kids reveal their true nature in a costume, whether cute like a princess, a monster, a super hero or whatever. It tells the future of each individual.
- What is the movie, Hocus Pocus about? … In a humorous way, it presents a guidebook to all future witches.
- In the Movie, Halloween, why was Michael Myers sent to an insane asylum when he was only six years old? … His mom worked as a nurse there, so she just brought him to work with her.
- Continuing from the previous question, what did Myers do when he escaped approximately fifteen years later? … He declared he was emancipated from parental control so he could go out on his own.
- What was the movie, Lost Boys about? … This is the story told around a campfire of a scout troop who wandered off into a woods in an alternate dimension, never to be found again.
- According to legend, why don’t vampires have a reflection? … Only warm blooded creatures have a reflection, and vampires have no warm blood of their own, and that’s why they bite – to get some warm blood for a little while.
