Flower of the Day – Bells of Ireland

***

I saw these interesting flowers at the store. The tag said they were Bells of Ireland.

On reading about them, I found they are not native to Ireland, but come from Turkey. They are also called a shell flower, and are a symbol of good luck.

These are bright green, shell shaped flowers.

  1. I have been discovering that many of our Australian Natives are actually South African – but from yonks ago. The two continents were touching or together in the beginning. THough I don’t know why we haven’t claimed them?
