Flower of the Day – Lilacs

I took this photo right around this time of year last year. The lilac bush is across the street from us, and I love the sweet smelling purple/pink flowers. I think the flowers are late this year, as the blooms are just barely showing as of now. Maybe in a few more days it will be full again.

Thanks, Sheree! They sure do. I was a little afraid the new owner of the house across the street was going to cut them down, but they didn’t. I just wish the flowers lasted longer. 🙂

I think everything’s a little late this year…except the daffodils. We still have our tarps up on the deck…we have some freezing weather coming through the rest of the week and my boyfriend made the statement that he wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t see some snowflakes tomorrow. It’s April Fool’s Day, so who knows!
Oh, and I love lilacs too 🙂
