This lioness was taking a sunny nap at the Kansas City Zoo where we visited a couple of years ago. She didn’t listen to us saying ‘Wake Up’. I don’t imagine her name is Susie, but the song is saying to ‘Wake up’! 🙂 haha 🙂

aww she is lovely
sending hugs by the way as watching the news, just can’t believe what we are watching unfold
Thanks, Becky! We don’t have a zoo here, so our visit to the Kansas City Zoo was something to see – a beautifully arranged spaces for all the animals.
Thanks for the hugs – I’ve only heard bits and pieces of the news, as we aren’t watching TV. We will tune in to the evening news though, I’m sure. Such a sorry display that seems to be going on.
I bet she was aware of every movement. What a beauty
Thanks, Alice! haha I’ll bet you’re right that she was aware of what was going on around her. 🙂
She is beautiful. Such great photos. XO
Thanks, Ellen! Big beautiful kitty! haha! I’m amazed how large they can be. 🙂
Reminds me of my husband asleep in his recliner.
I could be playing Wake Up Little Susie …. full blast and he could sleep right through.
Thanks, Esther! haha! That’s funny, but same could be said about my husband on the couch! How they do that I don’t know. 🙂
Sometimes I think they are pretending. lol
Noticed you mentioned KC Zoo.
Grew up in Kansas. (not the zoo)
Yep, pretending, or just dozing a little. 🙂
Oh yes, I like Kansas. My daughter lives in Kansas City, and we’ve visited quite a lot of times. Many years ago we lived in Junction City when my husband was stationed at Ft. Riley.
