- Many local regions, especially rural areas where I live, have haunted houses. Have you ever spent the night in a house that was supposedly haunted? Anything โstrangeโ happen?
Well yes, I have spent the night in a haunted house. Every house I’ve lived in has been haunted. I am a ghost, after all. ๐
Strange things are always happening.
- The Quidditch Cup (riding broomsticks while chasing a small ball) was a huge sporting event in the land of Hogwarts. What is the largest sporting event (or concert, etc.) that you have ever attended?
Hmmm, I didn’t count how many people were in attendance, but I’ve been to large concerts, and also a college football game or two in the past.
- When you go for a swim, do you prefer an ocean, the seaside lakes, or a pool?
I don’t ever go for a swim. I used to when I was a kid, but only in a nice pool. I’d never ever want to get in the water of a lake, because of the horrible fish.
- Ron Weasley received a horrid robe to wear as formal wear to the Christmas dance at Hogwarts. Tell about the most โghastlyโ fashion statement that you have ever made.
I hope I’ve never worn anything ghastly!
Muggle Questions (from Melanie):
What is the last song you sang along to?
Probably the song I used for Song Lyric Sunday yesterday, which was, “Poison”, by Alice Cooper.
What was your scariest nightmare about?
Tornadoes always tornadoes after being in the F5 tornado back in 1970. I had nightmares about that for years, and even now in the springtime I’ll have another one.
What food do you crave most often?
Popcorn and nuts. I can’t eat these any more because of a medical condition, so I crave them all the time.
Whatโs your grossest bug story?
Bug story? I like bugs so really they don’t gross me out. Well, how about this one – I kept an insulated jug of water by the sink for use at night. It had a straw. So, I take a big sip, and feel something squirmy in my mouth. I spit it out and it was a fairly large spider! Yuck! He was okay, and I survived.

Yes, tornadoes are scary. Tornado nightmares are totally understandable. Ew, funny and gross about the spider when you were drinking from a straw.:-)

Thanks, Priscilla!
Knock wood we never have another tornado like that one, though we do have the threat of them especially in the spring.
I don’t know what that spider thought it was doing climbing down into the straw, but I’ll bet he was just as surprised as I was! haha ๐

Gross bug story. I am terrified of spiders and I think I would die if that happened to me. I ate raisins once and didn’t realize there were maggots in them! Disgusting!

Thanks, Christine! I like spiders and most bugs – well, not mosquitoes or ticks – so they don’t bother me. Your bug story about the maggots sounds so awful! I doubt I’d eat raisins ever again! ๐

Raisins and Chocolate chips…Happened two times. Just keep them in the Fridge and they last for longer!

OK yes that bug story was definitely gross!

Thanks, Joseph! It was a midnight surprise for sure! I don’t use that container with a straw any more, and instead just have a bottle of water with a cap now. ๐

Youโre so cool! Not grossed out by bugs or ghosts. ๐๐๐

Thanks, Sadje! I guess I’m pretty accepting of most bugs, except mosquitoes, flies, or ticks. Ghosts, I’ve had them around since I was a kid, so it’s strange when something happens, but not scary to me. ๐

I once had a stink bug land in my food, had to through my dinner away. And once, as I was driving to a funeral I had a creepy looking bug crawling up my leg. Normally bugs don’t creep me out, but that day I was wearing a dress…didn’t want it crawling up my dress. I was driving! Pulled the car over and jumped out of the car in my bare feet! I didn’t get back in until it was found and let out of the car. It was like two inches long!! It may have been a wheel bug, but I’m not sure.

Thanks, Holly! Ewww a stink bug in your food! Now that’s pretty gross! I can imagine you not wanting a big bug crawling up your dress. I had to look up what a wheel bug was – sounds pretty ugly and kind of big, too. That would be creepy! Glad you didn’t have a wreck trying to get away from it. ๐

Thanks Barbara for Sharing Your World! I’d have probably thrown that cup and straw away, but I’m an arachnophobe. Spiders. Brrrrr. “Eating” a spider? Worst thing EVER, the spider is lucky you are a compassionate soul! I’d forgotten…. you ARE a ghost! We’ll have to quiz you sometime about life on the other side! ๐ Heh.

Thanks, Melanie! It was pretty icky to have a spider in my mouth! I’ve since stopped using that cup and straw, and now just have a bottle of water with a cap on it.
heh heh – it’s just fun saying I’m a ghost because that’s my name on here, plus I’ve told lots of my ghost stories. For real though I’ve had lots of strange things happen I blame on ghosts, but they don’t scare me at all.
Thanks for the fun questions! ๐
