Funny & Found

***

I’m forever buying used notebooks, diaries, scrapbooks, yearbooks, and finding fun things in them. I also find other things that are funny, or it’s funny where I find them.

I find people’s discarded grocery lists, too, along with whole photo albums, cards and letters.

I just like finding things like these, because I try to imagine who wrote them, why something was discarded, and what the people’s stories are.

So, I’ll post a few of these from time to time.

***

First photo is of a small diary. It has a blue background with white winged dragonflies on the cover

The spelling of these pages is pretty bad, but it’s done by a kid.

The next page says: Today was awfullest because I had to go and get my brother and he usually is angry, but today he wasn’t and I gave him two chances. Good bye.

The last page says: Rowdy loves me and he asked me to be his girl friend and I said yes. Good bye.

    • Thanks, Carol Anne!
I’m sure it’s a young girl writing. The name on the diary says Tiffany, but she doesn’t say how old she is. There are a few more pages she wrote, so will post those another day. 🙂

      • I got this one at a yard sale a long time ago. Whenever I find one I buy it, just to see what they wrote – guess I’m nosy that way haha! Also I can use the blank pages for my own short writing or whatever comes to mind.

    • Thanks, Sadje! It is interesting to see what someone wrote. I don’t know why they were selling it at a yard sale, though. That’s where I get most of my used notebooks and such. 🙂

    • Thanks, Priscilla! It is fun to see what someone else writes. I know I kept diaries when I was a kid. I don’t know why she was selling this one at a yard sale. At least she liked writing for awhile, and hope she kept on with journal keeping later on. 🙂

    • Thanks, missb! I find the little diaries and notebooks at yard sales sometimes. The writing in them is fun to read, and of course I can use the rest of the blank pages for my own notes. 🙂
