What song always gets you out on the dance floor? … I’ve done a little dancing back when I was a teen, but these days, I don’t except maybe a little in the house sometimes, and almost always to this song: “Whenever, Wherever”, by Shakira.

Whatโ€™s your favorite sleeping position? … I sleep on my back, and have for many years. But … first I fall asleep sitting up in the recliner in the bedroom, then I go to bed, where I have tons of pillows including a large wedge one, so I can sleep mostly sitting up.

If you could snap your fingers and instantly make the world better, what would you do? … Take away all diseases and wars.

Whatโ€™s the scariest thing youโ€™ve ever done, and why did you do it? … Survived the F5 tornado! I didn’t plan on being in that tornado, and I hope to never be again.

  1. Thanks Barbara for Sharing Your World! Wow! An F5 tornado?! Did it tear down the building you were in around you or did you get to a storm cellar or something? My goodness! How frightening! You’re the first person who sleeps ‘like I do” – i.e. semi-reclined or sitting up. Lying flat any more is almost impossible because I can’t breath properly. I hope you get rested doing it, it takes a while to become accustomed, but I think one can’t go back to lying flat once one has slept that way. Maybe. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thanks, Melanie!
That tornado was so scary. My dad had picked me up from night business college when it hit, so we were in the car downtown. We pulled into an old brick gas station to hopefully take cover (not even knowing it was a tornado at the time). The front end of my car was lifted up, and bricks from the station crashed breaking the car windows (the building was destroyed). We finally made it home many hours later (had to hitch a ride) Downtown was mostly destroyed.
I wish I could sleep different, but I have inner ear problem, so I get too dizzy if I lay on my side or flat. Ugh!
