Share Your World Q & A SYWbanner319

It’s time again for the SYW questions from Melanie, and answers from me! To join in, just click the above link. It’s fun! Thanks, Melanie! 🙂

Have you ever ‘dined and dashed” (i.e. eaten the meal and then run out the restaurant door without paying)?  … No, never, but one time we’d been seated at this restaurant (a whole group of us), and had been given menus. When we saw the prices on the food, we all decided we couldn’t afford any of it, so didn’t order anything and got up and left.

Have you ever been in a car accident and either left the scene of the accident (providing it was a fender bender and not serious) or denied culpability for causing it when you did, (if it were minor or serious)? … Nope, not that I can remember. But one time there was this little old man who sideswiped my car. I got out, he got out and he started hollering at me that it was my fault (I was stopped at a light – he ran into me). I told him so, and if he didn’t back off I’d call the law on him. I got back in my car and took off and he was chasing me down the road. I finally pulled in at a beer store and called home. The guy didn’t follow me any more. Now this was a little old white haired man of probably my father or grandfather’s generation.

(Oldie which has been asked many times before)   Have you ever found a wallet or purse or some money (over $20) in the street and just taken it, thinking ‘finders keepers, losers weepers?   Or would you be ‘good’ and hand it in?  … Yes, I’ve found money laying on the street and kept it. A few times this has happened with no one else around, and no way to know who it belonged to – just cash – no wallet. The most was $50.

What was the last thing you stole or shoplifted?   If you never ever considered doing that, tell us your secret!   🙂 … I stole some tiny toys from a store when I was a kid. – it was some kind of little doll. I pocketed a cheap necklace once, too. That’s all I remember.

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

  1. Thanks Barbara for Sharing Your World! It sounds like you stayed on the right side of the law. That guy would have frightened me badly, and I’d probably have taken his license plate number down and turned him into the cops. Brrr! I’m glad it ended well! 🙂

    • Thanks, Melanie!
That was pretty scary. It’s been so long ago I can’t remember what happened exactly, but I think the insurance took care of it. 🙂
      Interesting questions!
