How comfortable are you speaking in front of large groups of people?  … I would never have a reason to speak in front of a group, but it wouldn’t bother me at all. However, back in the day I know I’d be petrified!

What would be the best thing you could reasonably expect to find in a cave? … I would expect to find beautiful rock and limestone formations. I’ve seen some before and all you can say is ‘wow’!

What did you think was going to be amazing but turned out to be horrible? The one that comes to mind at the moment is the enchilada dinner I made years ago for my future son-in-law and daughter. The enchiladas exploded!

What’s the silliest thing you’ve observed someone get upset about? … There’s probably a lot of irritating and silly things we get upset about, but at the time we don’t think they are. Mostly it would be me having a hissy fit about whatever – like a fly buzzing around incessantly – drives me up the wall every time. I holler and yell and flap my arms and hands and flick paper or towels at the danged fly and I can’t make it stop or catch it. 🙂

  1. Thank you Barbara for Sharing Your World and some explosive humor! I’ve honestly never heard of an exploding enchilada…were there a lot of beans in them or something? I wonder if you look back at that and laugh though. And the next time you made enchiladas, you left out the beans? 😉 I hate flies too, so you’re aren’t alone in your frustration with the ‘one that will NOT die”…I do it too. It’s so not silly! 😛 We have a cave formation in Utah entitled “Timpanogos Cave” which has amazing limestone formations..stalagtites and so forth. I used to go there a bit when I was a LOT younger, but not for ages… the climb to get to the cave is too difficult for me now. But it really was something to see! Especially when, during the tour, they’d turn off the lights at one point and you could see the quartz glowing in the dark! So cool1 😀

    • Thanks, Melanie!
No, no beans in them. The glass dish shattered with the hot enchiladas in there. I’ve added a link to the story above. It was a big ‘ol mess!
Yep, you’d think a fly would get the message with all the flapping around I do, but it just keeps on being annoying!
I’ve been to a couple of caves, Carlsbad, and Inner Space, and those formations are so beautiful . It is a strange feeling to be under ground and they turn out the lights except a couple of spotlights. I don’t imagine I’ll ever go again, but so glad I got to go in earlier days. 🙂
