A to Z Blog Challenge 2020 – Day # 28 – Letter X – Xenarthra (Sloth)
***
Quote comes from reading a Wiki article:
Xenarthra is the animal group which includes the sloths, armadillos and anteaters. The xenarthrans originated in South America around 59 million years ago. Although at one time xenarthrans were found throughout the Americas, today only one xenarthran, the nine-banded armadillo, is found as far north as the United States.

Coloring page shows a member of the Xenarthra family of animals, such as the brown throated sloth. The anteater and armadillo are others that are in this classification.
This one I colored with yellows, and browns, with touches of red and blue. The mama and baby are hanging from a brown tree branch with green leaves.

I wouldn’t have guessed armadillos and sloths are related.

I know – isn’t that weird! They look nothing alike – haha! I’ve seen plenty of armadillos here in TX, but it would be amazing to see a sloth hanging upside down from a branch. haha! 🙂
