Flower of the Day – White Weed Flower

***

These are very small white weed flowers on a medium sized stalk. They are all over our back yard. I wanted to take a photo before they get mowed down. I tried to find out what they were called, but none I looked at seemed very similar.

  1. Many times I wish that we had never started growing ‘lawns’ and your photo made me want to give up on the ‘lawn’ look and go with flowers. How is it that I’ve been so conditioned to see some beautiful plants as weeds and others as desirable? Thanks for sharing.

    • Thanks, Katherine!
I’ve thought that for a long time. Instead of lawns front & back, those areas could be better used for growing vegetables, and flowers. We don’t go outside to admire the grass that needs mowing all the time, but I’d much rather enjoy pretty flowers, and gather vegetables. 🙂

      • I’m with you on that! We have so many trees that our yard is shaded in every season. And of course, the deer ravage it continuously. But if we had more sun, I’d love to grow veggies and flowers inside a deer-proof enclosure.

      • That would be nice. So different from here, as trees are pretty sparse, and no deer around anywhere. Yours sound so pretty, though. 🙂

    • Thanks, Cee! We have a backyard full of these, and yellow ones, and some purple ones, too. It’s been to wet to mow, or to put down weed killer, so they just grow and be pretty for now.
      Y’all keep safe! ❤
