Questions for SYW:
Can you bake a cake? (credit for this question goes to Di, who asked it on her post

recently. Thanks Di! After last week’s SYW, we needed a little bit of sweet and light!)
What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?
When you were a kid, did you eat the crusts on your sandwich or not?
What’s something your family would be surprised to learn about you?

My answers are:
# yes, I can bake cakes of all kinds. These can be using a recipe with all ingredients, or from a mix box. I can do my own bakery icing, too, and have taken a cake decorating course/class, which was lots of fun learning how to use all the decorating tips to make fancy things on the cakes.
# talking to my grandkids always will make me smile and laugh.
# yes, as far as I remember I ate crusts on my bread. Even now, that is my favorite part.
# not much new for the family to know about me. They already know I have a blog, and that I write stuff all the time, and always have. They know I’m most of the time silly, and like laughing at the absurdity of it all. They know I like all things spooky, too.

I can not bake a cake unless it’s from a box. I can bake everything else under the sun, but my cakes never come out right.

Thanks, Willow!
I’m okay with baking cakes, pies, and cookies, but I’ve never been able to make any kind of candy – even a simple fudge won’t turn out right. 🙂

Now candy is something I’m pretty good at. Cookies too. But cake? I don’t even know why my cakes don’t turn out right, but they never do.
