From the Wiki article:
“Crazy Arms” is an American country song which was a career-making hit for Ray Price. The song, released in May 1956, went on to become a number 1 country hit that year, establishing Price’s sound, and redefining honky-tonk music. It was Price’s first No. 1 hit.

“Crazy Arms”, by Ray Price was released as a single in 1956. It was written by Ralph Mooney and Charles Seals, and is on the Columbia label.
However … there was a controversy mentioned in the Wiki article that said another songwriter, Paul Gilley, actually wrote the song, but sold the lyrics to Ralph Mooney, who then took credit for them.
Some notables that have covered this song are:
Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Jerry Garcia Band, Jerry Lee Lewis, Marie Osmond, and Chris Isaak among many others.

Now blue ain't the word for the way that I feel And the storm's brewing in this heart of mine This ain't no crazy dream I know that it's real You're someone else's love now you're not mine Crazy arms that reach to hold somebody new While my yearning heart keeps saying you're not mine My troubled mind knows soon to another you'll be wed And that's why I'm lonely all the time So please take the treasured dreams I have for you and me And take all the love I thought was mine Someday my crazy arms may hold somebody new But now I'm so lonely all the time Crazy arms that reach to hold somebody new While my yearning heart keeps saying you're not mine My troubled mind knows soon to another you'll be wed And that's why I'm lonely all the time *** Thanks for visiting! Thanks Li!
I like it a lot, and remember it well. It was either this one of his or another, can’t remember, but I wrote down all the lyrics in shorthand one time way back when. 🙂

You’re welcome! Quite a bit different from the c/w songs we hear these days, and as some would say this song is from the ‘real’ c/w days. 🙂

Thanks! Yes a classic for sure. It has that ‘old-fashioned’ sound to it that is missing from most of the country type music of today. 🙂
