I’m assuming that black metal bench in the sun is from your area. That seems like it would get very hot in the summer!

haha yes it is, and right out there in the hot sun. I wouldn’t want to sit on it in our 100 degree weather today. 🙂

I have a couple of old captains chairs like that but they aren’t painted. I find them more comfortable than they appear.

Thanks! That’s the word I was looking for, for the kind of chairs these are. They remind me of my parent’s kitchen chairs, being an early American look, with the wooden chairs like these. We always had those tie on cushions for them, though, to add a little padding on the seats. 🙂
