July Squares # 31 – Blue – Fanfare Fini

July Squares # 31 – Blue – Fanfare Fini

Feeling the blues

This is a month of blue! It’s a fun challenge created by Becky of “The Life of B”, and each day we show something blue. The only rule beside blue, is that the photo MUST be SQUARE!

As an added bonus, I’ve found songs with blue in the title or lyrics, or at least something to do with the photo. 🙂

Thanks, Becky!

Today is the last day of the Blue July Squares! It’s been a lot of fun to find blue things, and also some songs to go along with the photos.

Thank you, Becky, for hosting this wonderful challenge! 🙂

For the last entry of my blues, I’m just showing several photos of some I took that never made it into the earlier days of the month.

  • Red, White, & Blue USA flag inspired helium balloon
  • Miscellaneous items (small fabric sack with blue & white candy inside, A toy blue and yellow thermometer, a white pencil with a cat’s head wearing a stocking hat of blue, white & yellow, and a blue ruler,
  • a sign at Ft. Davis TX saying ‘enlisted men’s barracks 1876 – 1887, Canteen 1888 – 1891)
  • White jellyfish enhanced by blue lights in a large aquarium at Kansas City Missouri Aquarium
  • My blue magnetic board with some magnets that have blue on them
  • My blue magnetic board with lots of words in blue

“True Blue”, by Madonna, was released from her album of the same name in 1985. It was written by Madonna and Stephen Bray, and is on the Sire/Warner Bros. label.

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

  1. oh so many blues . . . and look at all the songs too. What a fanfare of a finish 🙂 thank you so very much for joining us again, it wouldn’t be the same without you

    • Thanks, Priscilla! I like this one, too, and just ran across it while looking for songs. I remember it, and it had been a long time since I heard it. 🙂

  2. I have learned something!!! All these years, I always thought “True Blue” was one of those rare 80’s hits that did not have a music video. All of my years watching MTV and VH1 Classic, and I’d never seen that video before! Thank you for sharing.

    • Thanks, Bill!
I remembered the song, but don’t remember seeing the video ever before, either. I really like it, too. Must not have gotten much airplay on the music TV channels back then. 🙂
