July Squares # 2 – Blue Badges

July Squares – Blue Badges

July Blues

This is a month of blue! It’s a fun challenge created by Becky of “The Life of B”, and each day we show something blue. The only rule beside blue, is that the photo MUST be SQUARE!

As an added bonus, I’ve found songs with blue in the title or lyrics. 🙂

Thanks, Becky!

This is a photo of my grandson’s Cub Scout belt. He has earned some badges to put on the belt. The belt is on the blue background of his uniform. I really don’t know what the emblems on the badges are for, though, but I’m proud of him for earning them.

Here’s what they look like:

  • a red pocket knife partially open showing the silver blade
  • a blue heart shaped world with silhouettes of people standing on top
  • a house above two hands \ dark & light shaking
  • a yellow birdhouse
  • blue & round big smiling emojis?

All are in a row on the belt, against the dark blue of his uniform.

“Song Sung Blue”, by Neil Diamond, was released as a single from his album, “Moods”, in 1972. It was written by Neil Diamond, and is on the umi label.

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

  1. Oh I’ve never seen a belt before, they are still sewing on badges here! What an excellent collection he has, must be a great cub 😄

  2. Scouting is great. The new look badges are good. I couldn’t even guess what they do now. One day I should dig out my Scout stuff and do a post on one of the best times of my life. Bravo
