Here are some fun questions I saw from a friend on FB. I thought it would be fun to answer them here. If you’d like to answer them, too, feel free, and I’d enjoy reading your answers. 🙂

Think about your SENIOR year in High School. The longer ago it was, the more fun the answers will be!
I graduated high school in 1969 from Estacado High School. Our logo/teams was the Matadors. Our school colors were blue and silver.
I went for two years here (first high school year was at Lubbock H.S).
Estacado was a brand new school, and all students got to vote on what the teams, colors, song, rings, were to be.
~
1. Did you know your current significant other?
Yes, and later that year we got married. It will be 50 years for us come December.
2. Make and year of car?
I think it was a 1964, four door Ford Falcon, with a stick shift on the steering column. I put a couple of large yellow flower power stickers on the sides (to make it cool looking – haha)
3. What kind of job?
Part time office work for a manufacturing plant, of chicken and hog watering systems.
4. Where did you live?
At home with my parents & sister, and it’s the same city we live in now.
5. Were you popular?
Not especially, but I had a few friends, and we’d hang out together.
6. Were you in choir?
No, I was in orchestra, and played the violin
7. Ever get suspended from school?
No
8. If you could, would you go back?
No
9. Still talk to the person that you went to prom with?
Yes, we got married.
10. Did you skip school?
No
11. Go to all the football games?
I went to quite a few of the games, but not all.
12. Favorite subject?
English
13. Do you still have your yearbooks?
Yes
14. Did you follow the career path you planned?
I didn’t really have one…just office work, which I did for a few years.
15. Did you have a class ring?
Yes, I still have it. It’s silver with a clear blue stone, and embedded in the stone is the letter E (for Estacado High School)
16. Still close with your best friend?
Yes, but she lives in another town. We email and phone text, and she will be here next month.
17. Who was your favorite teacher?
Maybe Mrs. Parks? She was our office education teacher, where we learned shorthand, typing, and office procedures.
18. What was your style?
Style? Skirts, dresses, and penny loafers. Girls back then weren’t allowed to wear jeans to school (the year after I graduated, they were)
19. Favorite shoes?
Penny Loafers
21. Favorite music?
Rock music of all kinds
22. High school Hair?
Same as now, except I’d dyed it red…or black…I kept going back and forth with the color
23. What kind of cologne/perfume?
Ambush by Dana. I wore this all the time and wish I could still find it.
24. How old when graduated?
18
25. Did you play a sport?
No, never, and I hated gym or PE classes

Ha! I couldn’t even answer the first three since I have no SO, didn’t get my first car until I was 25 nor my first job until I was 22!

Guess I got started with all of this stuff the questions asked long before you. It’s funny to remember all that, actually. 🙂

Thank you, Janet! I agree that PE class was not fun for me. Seems like we always had it either first thing in the morning or right before lunch. 🙂

Thanks, Tammy! Very cool that you did have a car back then. I do like hearing about people’s first cars. So much variety in what everyone drove around. 🙂
