Que Sera Sera – What Will Be Will Be

Doris Day, the lovely actress and singer, passed away Monday, May 13. She was born on April 3, 1922, and enjoyed a very fulfilling career, which entertained us all.

Her love of animals also led to her becoming an animal welfare activist.

Here’s a few of her quotes:

I’m going to do as much as I can for the animal world, and I’ll never stop. ~  Doris Day

“I have found that when you are deeply troubled, there are things you get from the silent devoted companionship of a dog that you can get from no other source.”
Doris Day

And, I’ll leave you with her well known song…

“Que Sera Sera {What Will Be Will Be)”, by Doris Day, was written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans, in 1956. It is on the Columbia label.

I’ve always enjoyed her movies, and these are just a few of many that I’ve seen:

Pillow Talk

With Six You Get Eggrolls

Please Don’t Eat the Daisies

Thanks for visiting! Peace ☮️

    • Yes, there were several movies they were both starring in together. I really liked her movies, and she had a TV series for awhile, too. I need to re-watch some of them. 🙂

  1. Her movies and voice were big parts of my childhood. Then, when she became an advocate for animals, that just made me admire her even more. I think she was always beautiful. Thanks for honoring her and the great quotes.

    • Thanks, JoAnna!
Same for me…watched lots of her movies, and enjoyed them all. Her work for the welfare of animals is a plus in my book! She seemed like a very compassionate person. 🙂

    • Thanks, M!
Yes, it was sad to hear she’d passed away the other day. I thought she was a wonderful actress, and her movies were just really nice and funny ones. 🙂
