    • Thanks M! Yes, it does take a lot of work to make a pretty garden, whether flowers or vegetables. We used to grow a few vegetables, and they were so much better than store bought. 🙂

      • I found that out in Oakland. when I grew tomatoes, it was the first time I found out tomatoes are sweet. store bought tomatoes just don’t taste as sweet — maybe because they are picked before they are ripe so they can travel better?

      • Could be the reason, that they are picked and shipped before they ripen, but I can see why they must. There’s just something wonderful about a fresh ripe garden tomato that the store bought ones just doesn’t have.
