March Squares Final – Spikes # 31

March Squares Final – Spikes # 31

We’ve done it, 31 spikes!

Today is the very last day of our March Spikes Square Challenge! It’s been a lot of fun finding photos and songs. Thanks so much, Becky, for hosting this fun challenge! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Today’s photos are of snails I found at our house. The first photo snail is a light bluish green color. He’s halfway out of his shell, which is tan and white with brown speckles. This one is going to the right.

The second snail is a dark blue one, with a shell of brown and tan. He’s halfway out of his shell and is going left.ย  Looks like he was on our glass door, and you can see his underside. What do you call that…his foot? Anyway he glides along on it.

Both the snail’s shells are the elongated type, not a round one.

They both have their spiky antennas. I read that they are called eyestalks, and their eyes are on the tips of the stalks.

This video shows all kinds of snails moving around, which is pretty neat. There’s also a shot of one giant snail someone is holding, and also a shot of Gary the Snail from the Sponge Bob cartoons.

I like the song, too, but it takes a few seconds to get to the singing part.

“Snail”, by Awolnation, was released in 2010, from their album, “Megalithic Symphony”. It was written by Aaron Bruno, and is on the Red Bull label.

Hope you’ve enjoyed my month of Spikes and Squares and Songs! Next time will be in June, I think…We’ll see what topic Becky chooses for this one, which I’m sure will be something fun and interesting. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for visiting! Peace โ˜ฎ๏ธ
