Flower of the Day – Peony

***

I’m pretty sure this is a peony flower. It is not fully opened. It is white, with touches of pale pink, and is surrounded by broad green leaves. For some reason it looks like a large piece of popcorn, to me!

    • Oh, thank you! You’re right! I looked at my series of photos of that day I took them, and this one was the 5th in a row of tulip photos. Then I looked up peony shaped tulip photos and there were lots of these, sometimes called peony tulips, because of their globe shape. I had no idea, so thanks so much for the information. 🙂

    • Thanks, Sandee! I like the delicate color of this one. And, XingfuMama commented that it is actually a tulip! I never knew there were tulips shaped like this.
Hope you’ve been having a lovely spring morning, so far! ❤

  1. Thought that looked more like a Tulip leaf! 🙂

It’s a great shot though… reminded me of a face – two little dots for eyes in the middle! 🙂
